Let's just say little Tyson gets the Klit fight & pulls it off, You'd then strongly fancy him against Wilder ( if you Don't already) so... A win here leaves us with a very real prospect of Britain having the HW champion for a long time - given that AJ will likely step up over time to championship level. All ifs and buts at the minute but I wouldn't be overly surprised to see fury get the win... The harder challenge would be getting Wilder to fight a unification.
I'm 100% certain Fury would not beat Wlad or Wilder. He hasn't beat a top 10 heavy and his best wins are Chisora and Cunningham ffs. I honestly don't know how people give him a chance in either of those fights.
Also worth remembering he was knocked down by a feather-fisted CW in Cunningham and rocky multiple times by him too.
fury and Cunningham are probably better than anyone wilders beaten. furys an outsider, but I think he's got another level in him, with his size advantage too a Klit win isn't a foregone conclusion like most of this other fights. would be nice if the HW title stays in the UK.
Stiverne is better than Cunningham and I reckon Fury- Stiverne is a 50/50. I normally do want any brit to win against foreign opponents but in this case I prefer both Wlad and Wilder to Fury.
I would say Klit is a massive favourite & rightly so, However , looking at the bare facts - fury is a massive frame compared to most of klits recent fights, also fury can jab and actually box a little for a big man.. So I'd say it's the "closest" fight Klit will of been involved in for some time. You'll also notice , i said there's a lot of ifs and buts .. Which there is, and I started the thread with the opening line of let's just say..... Obviously I don't rate his chances highly at all . But it will be competitive.
And who has Wilder beat to make you feel that way? His best wins are against A-Force and an out of shape Stiverne that had absolutely no intention of winning that fight. Fury would give Wilder an absolute boxing lesson and I'm pretty sure he'd give Klitschko he'd give Klitschko a run for his money.
Stiverne would be clubbed to death like a baby seal if he put a performance in like his Wilder attempt
I think Fury is better than people think. He has been allowed to grow and brought on well. Just because he was a clown early in his career doesn't mean much now considering he was 20 years old when he started out. Chisora has done well for what he has skillset-wise. Also Cunningham was debatably robbed against Glaskhov recently so isn't that bad a fighter at HW. Fury has developed a very slick boxing style. Jab and move, he fights like a much lighter man and people have always written him off as a joke based more on his antics out of the ring than his displays in it. In all honesty. I give him a shot against Wlad. If you think that is so crazy keep in mind Al Bernstein said the exact same thing after watching the Jennings fight. Al fancies Fury ftw.
Be fair here, if Wlad had fought SOS Cunningham back in '93 he would have been chased by an angry mob with torches and pichforks, while that's still Fury's best win to date. The man has become better as I ever imagined but he's still a sucker for the right hand and that spells doom against Wlad and Wilder. Not to mention he has fought only one midlevel big guy and struggled with him.
