The Price vs Wach fight fell trough due to David withdrawing from the fight.

CES Boxing CEO Jimmy Burchfield (SO NOT SAUERLAND!) responded with "Now we hear David no longer wants to fight. Is he scared to face Wach?"

I think it's a good decision by Price, for the notion that Wach isn't ranked very highly anymore and might be one of the worst matchups Price could take on paper. You can't get Wach outta there early, and in return Wach always finds some response later on in the fight.

Since when have risky fights been meaningless ?
    It's a hard test, probably a 50-50 fight.
Neither of them are ranked any more, but the winner would definitely be putting himself back into the edge of title contention at least, and prove a lot about themselves and gain confidence.

It's EXACTLY the kind of fight that boxing needs. These types of fights should be the routine.

People would rather seeing mismatches and "careful matchmaking" ? WTF

Price is finished, a joke. if thompson didnt take his soul he would have took this fight, and would have been Koed anyway.

Normally I would agree with you, but this is one of these fights a guy in Price's position shouldn't take. There's not much gain (he's ranked a lot higher as Wach) and I actually favor Wach on strenghts vs weaknesses. And there's no way back for Price if he loses again.

I truely believe Price has a bigger chance sparking Fury as he has beating Wach.

Wach is awful, not even Chisora level let alone Furys

Wach is not a contender hes a gatekeeper at best, If price wants any big fights in his career he needs to beat guys like this. Dangerous or not.
Wach looked **** in his last 2 fights, i mean absolute trash.

Smart move from Price and his team, this fight would have been disastrous for him and more then likely end his career, at least effectively. They should try to get the Chisora fight. There's more to gain from that, and less risk.

I like Price, he seems like a nice guy... But yeah he has nothing to offer at the elite level. But there still some fun fights for him in the division, with his power and weak chin he'll always be one to watch. I really want to see the Chisora/Price fight made. Would be great if that could somehow make it to the Klitschko/Fury undercard, even though Price is with Sauerland .

Has Price given a reason for the withdrawal?
