Wlad V The Legends?

Oh I agree.. He's definitely great... But legends are generally someone that people flock to see. He was invited back to the states for seven years for a reason.

 

Was he really invited back by the Gardens, they weren't even his first choice.

The fight originally was slated to take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, which Klitschko had picked over Madison Square Garden. Boente did not offer any reason or details on why the change was made.
"Yes, we are back at the Garden on April 25," Boente said. "The fifth Klitschko fight there, fourth of Wladimir, and Wladimir is happy about it."

Klitschko, who is from Ukraine but fights primarily in Germany (although he makes his home in Hollywood, Florida), has long wanted to fight again in the United States, but he did not have a top American opponent to face and was without significant American television backing to make it worthwhile. Now he has both -- a credible American contender in Jennings and a multifight contract with HBO that began with his last fight in November -- which positioned him to make his American return.

 

Obviously knock Patterson out easily.
Knocks Frazier out. Knocks Dempsey and Marciano out.

Holmes, Liston and Foreman are close to call to me, could get knocked out just as much win a close decision playing supersafe against them and landing few jabs and a right here and there. Same about Tyson tbh. Maybe he would wrap Tyson in the clinchs way too much and win a ugly fashion.

Lewis would beat him, Lewis by knockout most likely. Ali too but on decision.

 

A boxers job is to win with the most effective method possible, blame Manny Steward not Wlad. We both know Wlad was an exciting attacking fighter in his younger years but that style made him more vulnerable. Question is, if he's half as poor as what plenty of folk say on here then why hasn't he been dethroned yet??

 

Legends are guys who left it all in the ring and produced great fights. Guys who beat other great fighters.
People who won fights in which they were the underdog.

The problem with you Klit nut-huggers is you want everything for Wlad but never acknowledge what true greats achieved in their careers.

Wlad will be a great HW by default of having a long defense count. He is by no means any legend.

 

No he's not very entertaining but which heavyweights are these days?? Wilder's knockout streak is near enough perfect but I wouldn't call him an exciting fighter.

 

He looks decent but a bit reckless and open, Wlad was once an exciting fighter don't forget.

 

I take back anything good I've said about Wlad.

He was trying to cut himself and claim he was headbutted to escape with a technical decision like he did against Williamson.

 

Louis- This is a shootout. The gunslinger quicker on the draw will
win, but Wlad's size offsets that somewhat. Both men were extremely vulnerable, especially for the amount of sheer power on the table. I might go with Louis by knockout anywhere from 5 to 7.

Marciano- Wlad would win by knockout.

Patterson- Wlad KO3.

Liston- I have a higher opinion of Liston than I do of Foreman. However, his jabbing style would see him start on the outside where George would be charging in. In this case, Klitschko is simply the bigger gun. Klitschko surprise KO9 in a close but steady dismantling.

Ali- Wide points win for Ali.

Frazier- Styles greatly favor Frazier, but, again, the disparity in size would eventually tell.

Holmes- It would be dangerous for Holmes while it lasted, but if it's any kind of decision, it'd be a wide decision. The ****ey fight does give me pause.

Tyson- Tyson would steamroll through Wlad. Tyson KO4.

Lewis/Foreman- I don't trust either past the eighth. I think Lennox turns up the heat after dropping around 6 rounds. Lewis KO7 or KO8. I think Foreman forces his fight on Wlad and affects his composure. George KO5 or KO6.
