May, from the counter and his defense.

    I am rooting for Pac.

    My gut tells me May.

Mayweather. Because I believe he already respects Pacquiao. He knows what he's up against.

    Maywweather is underestimating pac's power

even marquez said again today that mayweather has NO power

Floyd also landed flush many times on marquez and for him to say he has no power that means a lot

I can see both of them gaining respect early. I think that Mayweather will find that Pac is going to be able to hit him... and everyone already knows that Manny always hits hard. However, I think that Pac will also soon find out that Floyd hits harder than people give him credit for. There is a reason that people don't just sell out when they fight Floyd.

they already do have each other's respect inside the ring regardless of how the camps try and hype the fight. if you're asking who dictates early, i'd say pac and i expect floyd to let him dictate early so he can try and figure him out and time him.

I actually don't think either guy is going to grab a ton of respect early. Manny might nick a couple rounds if he's lucky but I expect it to be a very cagey opening couple of rounds.

I've been thinking about this fight a lot (as I'm sure many of us have) and the more I think about it the more I'm confident in what the game plan has to be for Manny. Essentially to win Manny has to score a lot of points with his straight left hand (same as he always does) and in order to do that he needs to time an entry point past Floyd's jab/5 inch reach advantage. Manny has essentially made an entire career out of concealing his attacks with back and forth foot movement and a distracting "fake" right jab. But to continuously dive in on the best counter puncher of our generation is a progressively more and more hazardous action. So essentially the main thing that Manny needs to do to win will progressively become more and more dangerous the more he does it. Thus he must be efficient with number of times he dives in. He has to stay outside of Floyd's range and only dive in for or five times around max. So I actually think he's going to try to stifle the pace of the fight throughout and thus I don't think either guy is going "gain respect" by hurting the other guy or having an incredibly aggressive offensive outburst early in the fight. Like the first world war I see this fight as starting of tactical and once both sides' game plans go out the window that is when the fire works will start.

I meant to vote Pac, sorry guys.

You just have to go with Pacquiao. He's the guy with is faster. has more power, and is the aggressor. It's only logical.

Mayweather didn't need 'power' to put a beating on Marquez for twelve rounds, put him down and remain untouched despite just coming back from retirement.

The same Marquez that took eight of Pacquaio's nine lives and his soul with one punch.
