I strongly agree with the overall sentiment being expressed. The potential is there for the 38-year-old Mayweather of today facing serious trouble against what Pac brings to the table. This is a very dangerous fight for both fighters, with all things being considered.
I don't think this helps Manny much, for those first four rounds Judah was a faster pure boxer who boxed off the backfoot meaning Floyd had to assume a frontfoot stance.
Paccquiao is a better boxer than Judah, he isn't faster than Judah, he doesn't set his punches up like Judah. Floyd, like literally every boxer before him, can be set up to be hit in the head by body shots. It's not a problem with southpaws, it's the nature of a man. You get hit in the body enough, you begin to notice that, and you get hit in the head. Judah landed plenty of lefts to the body, then threw lefts to the head and landed clean. Mosely caught Mayweather in the second round because he was throwing jabs to the body and it set up the intial right. Pacquiao is a blitz fighter, he isn't about set ups. In fact, he is the exact opposite. judah isn't a swarming combination puncher, but rather he throw a shot or two at a time where he uses his speed to set up and land. Mayweather isn't immune to this approach if they allow it to be done, nobody is. The tactic against these fighters is to not give them room. Easy as.
Khan is maybe the worst fight for Judah this side of Pacquiao. An active, accurate ppuncher who wants to go forward? Not good for a guy who likes to set things up and execute. Defensive guys like Mayweather or limited guys like Garcia, that's who Zab Judah will look good against. It's a style clash.
Pac has longer arms than Judah. Judah: 22" http://31.media.tumblr.com/8ab50dc4aa97c229724f22aac98fee68/tumblr_mmvk81tD1m1qbfejao1_1280.gif Pac: 23" https://c1.staticflickr.com/7/6230/6339833374_557c268984.jpg
Did you watch the video. 80% of those straight lefts were 2-1 that's Pac's bread and butter. But Pac is way better at it than Judah. If Floyd starts ducking after the double jab like he did with Judah Manny will put him in his ass.
I think Pac will be able to sneak his left hand lead (the off speed variety) beyond Floyd's guard every now and again. I however think it's his right hook that will be the more damaging punch.
