Floyd lives like a Billionaire on Millionaire money. He could very well go broke.

Part of me thinks the 'Money' character (and all the 'spending') is just an act. The other part of me thinks that if that is real then he will go broke within 5-10 years of retiring.

Think about it... What has he invested his money into?

There was talk of him buying a casino many moons ago, same with buying a basketball team. His business portfolio pales in comparison to his 'toys' and his lack of sponsorships (god that was a bad move) could have kept him making millions til he dies - look at Jordan; dude made more money from his sneakers than he did his basketball career. That could've been May...

The other part of you believes Skip Bayless and thinks Canelo had to come in at 153 on fight night against Floyd. :think:yep

pacquiao would have endorsement deals in the philippines long after he retires. he also would be a regular figure in politics.

floyd meanwhile has his investments with 3 comma joe to fall back after he stops boxing.

How much did he weigh then, and why was there a 153 fight-night limit on Canelo?

Why not ask the question who "WILL" go for broke first. Why would any fan have to guess who goes broke. We know that Floyds fans will say Pac, and Pac's fans will say Floyd.

Manny is also is in debt, both here in the U.S. and the Philippines.

They both have worked too hard to be in this type of situation and I hope they are able to walk away from the sport and enjoy their success. Both guys!

    Yes, easily!!

Consider Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson. Both of them earned hundreds of millions of dollars and both are now (relatively speaking) skint!! And neither of them had (to my knowledge) a potentially ruinous gambling addiction.

I understand exactly what you are saying (why gamble when you already have more than enough money to buy whatever you want?) but speaking from experience (I have been a gambling addict for over thirty years) gambling is often about ego (being smarter than the bookmakers and the monetary rewards earned by your "skill" ) the adrenaline buzz that comes with a large bet (imagine backing the Patriots to win Super Bowl 49) and of course the "Easy money" (which usually proves to be the hardest to keep hold of).

The fact is, I have no idea if Floyd is "Beyond help" with his gambling, but if he is, he could be in a lot of trouble in years to come. And I really do not wish that misery on the man.

There wasn't... That is something Skip Bayless said on First take that confused/misled a lot of people (including you apparently. Next day Dan Rafael went on air and set him straight and skip tried to backtrack.

Canelo weighed 165.5 lbs on fight night, just use google. Or watch the fight, they both weighed in on fight night.

    Floyd will not go broke.

I'm sure he'll slow down with the "Money Mayweather" persona after he's done fighting, a lot of it is just for show.

Pac has tons of sponsors. There's an AirAsia Plane that is painted and named Pacman and are giving away goodies related to this fight to the passengers of the plane. Just heard Samsung is also the latest Pac sponsor.
