Excellent thread. Pac can't adjust and that will be the biggest key for me. After PBF figures Pac out and goes to work, Pac will continue to do the same thing regardless of what PBF is doing. He can only fight at one range and you're right he can't fight backing up. He's also a head hunter who neglects the body. I would give Pac a better chance if he had a jab could cut the ring went to the body and fought in a physical style but he doesn't he does one thing well fight from mid range going in and out, trying to overwhelm people with speed with power. That alone won't be enough to beat a guy who's as complete as PBF.

Exactly guys who have had success against PBF went to the body were bigger and could fight on the inside. You're not going to beat PBF outside or from mid range. His skills are too good.

 

I agree with a lot of your points. But I believe the thing you believe will cause pac to get clipped (the double jab) is what Floyd for some god unknown reason has big problems with. It's only when his opponents abandon the double jab right (Oscar, Zab, Shane) it's when he capitalizes. I think a ton of people make mention that the Jab to the body will be key...But many have tried since then, and I believe Floyd has already solved that problem.
What makes this fight interesting is that all of May's problems with opponents are about to be sped up. It will be an interesting first 4 rounds...Thats the only shot I give pac. But what 4 rounds the might be

You got it all wrong. Because from what I understand here are some things you haven't considered.

1) Manny tripped and fell on Juan's fist. That wasn't a legit KO.
2) Manny is made out of steel and will walk right through Mayweather's punches.
3) Manny is faster than a speeding bullet.
4) Manny punches harder than George Foreman.
5) He's a southpaw
6) Manny has better footwork than Floyd.
7) God wants Manny to win.

Did I mention Manny is fast? Yea... he's fast and powerful. Floyd has never seen that combination before. :dead

 

No, actually, it wouldn't. Remove the top two bettors for Mayweather and it's still about 85k on PBF vs about 11k on Pac.

Pacquiao is a good bodypuncher, but going to the body will leave openings for Mayweather so he will have to be careful when he does go there.
