Even Algieri was hitting Pacman with right hands. That must be a bit of a worry, that punch.

Mayweather 10-2 decision, it won't be too close. Roach is on record saying Joan Guzman was a tricky style match up for Pac, he knows.

Okay, switching gears I favor Mayweather, but think Pacquio will put up a good enough fight to leave the fans satisfied.

Mayweather has a size, speed and skills edge. Pacquaio can win if he out works Mayweather and throws more punches, but he has to start out fast in the early rounds and continue to out throw Mayweather.

Best guess 8 rounds to 4 for Mayweather with a close round or two that could be scored either way. I think the chances for BS on the score cards is rather high. Boxing would love a SD or Draw to create a lucrative re-match. It would be ironic if Mayweather was robbed!

I am enjoying this week. Boxing is back on the radio and has experienced a mini renaissance on regular TV and cable with good fights. This one is on PPV.

I think Mayweather wins pulling away, dicing Paq up pretty good .. to me it is really a matter of if Paq can get to Floyd at all and even hurt him a bit .. I also can see Floyd nailing him with nasty right hands that hurt Paq .. I do not rate Floyd as any sort of all time great welter but he is a great fighter and he is fighting an even smaller guy who has far more mileage on him .. should be very interesting for the first half for sure ..

    Speed?

Pacs had more gifts/outright robberies than Floyd

I think this fight can go both ways depending on how much PAC has left. Floyds fight will be defensive but he will be looking to counter with something hard as well but Manny has speed that Floyd has not seen in a while and he has power behind his punch and has that southpaw style. Neither man has had many KO's lately. If Manny can break Floyds rhythm early and land something that hurts him he may take Floyd out of his game and shake his confidence.

Floyd is the bigger man and it showed in the Marquez fight but if Manny can get back a touch of that form that beat Cotto, Margarita and Oscar D, Hatton, then Floyd may be in some trouble. Manny needs to take an early lead and get ahead then box carefully otherwise Floyd will move and counter all night and gain his rhythm.

I like Floyd but I like Manny more so I am hoping the inflatables and some of his old form gain him the victory and recognition. I dont know if I am thinking with my heart or my head but I will go with the underdog MP

COULD THERE BE SOMETHING IN THE AIR

pacquaio will get all the praise after the fight....jim lampley will speak about how this man was world flyweight champion in 1998 and here he is today 17 years later 8 divisions higher against what is accepted by most as the best fighter on the planet and he lasted the distance....pacquaio will thank god for his long career and the support from the filapino people, he will explain that he just doesn't have it any more and time has caught up with him but he is still happy, his new fight will be for the political well-being of his country....mayweather will hug pacquaio and call him a great fighter but explain to the camera that people have to realise that he (mayweather) cannot be beaten and must now be recognised as the best ever.....manny will recieve stitches in the dressing room after the fight for cuts over both eyes and one eye will be nearly closed, jinky will be holding his arm crying, manny will be smiling.....manny will return to the philippines a national hero once again.....most of the press online and offline will concentrate more on praising pacquaios career and place in boxing history than they do about mayweathers victory.

Let's be honest. The greatest part of this fight being made is that the general forum might become a place of discussion about boxing, hence why I'm wishing for a convincing victory.

I think stylistically Mayweather has developed an advantage over recent years, but still doesn't bode for a confident pick. I think you have to stick with your gut choice, which for me, has always been Floyd, despite dwelling on the idea that Pacquiao may well win by decision or knockout. We could see Floyd put on a master class/run depending on whether your a spastic or not. Floyd by KO is the second least likely of the 5 possibilities, but could still happen. Maidana-Mayweather II had a certain Jones-Tarver II feel and although it worked out differently, in this fight I wouldn't rule out a controversial draw, as this fight and Pea-JCC have slight similarities.

Both men have dedicated their lives to this sport and both should be respected for that. If anything you guys on eastclassicsideboxing24forum have helped me understand, is regardless of what can be proposed hypothetically, it's what fighters do and have done in the ring that counts, so regardless of who we think would have won 5 years ago, we should give a warm welcome to the winner even if we pick the wrong guy or didn't want them to win and respect the fact that they lay claim to the greatest fighter of their generation. A may the best man win

This entire forum's going to be down on Sunday, that's the only thing I'm certain about.

The fight ? I'd like to see a 1st round KO, either way.

The funny thing is that Paq is viewed as some sort of super nice guy and he may be to some degree but after seeing for years how he is endlessly surrounded by armies of yes men kissing his ass every second of every minute of every day has left a bit of a jaded taste to me .. Manny walks to massive applause, Manny dribbles a basket ball to massive applause, Manny sings to massive applause, every one prays like and how Manny decides .. I get that people are starving for money but his own ego is absolutely off the chart .. I wonder how many are standing by with different types of toilet paper every time Manny takes a **** ..
