I was, until about 2004.

Once they broke the curse of the Bambino, my ass jumped right off the bandwagon (same time everyone and their mother jumped on).

The 'long-suffering' identity of the fan base was gone and replaced by this arrogant twerp attitude. Plus I was still really salty about Nomar Garciaparra, that was my dude and I didn't like how the ownership did him dirty. It was around then I realized "**** the laundry, there is nothing all that noble about rooting for a team over individual players if you don't actually like any of the individual players or the ownership :conf"

So from then on, the couple more years I still followed baseball, I was an Ichiro Suzuki fan. Not a Mariners fan, mind you - an Ichiro fan.

Yeah it's terrible here. They say we have the best fans but it's just all bandwagoners, nuthuggers and re****s.

Everytime we have a playoff game, you get thousands of guys storming Downtown to watch it on the big screen and as a result, disrupts traffic entirely.

Thank God we got sweeped. Raptors/Maple Leaf fans are actually insufferable.
