I remember Tyson (who for all of his faults is a true student of boxing) being extremely respectful about Larry Holmes in the post-fight interview.... and that was after Larry's infamous (though many would say prophetic) pre-fight comments.

Tyson (to my knowledge) never dissed any of the great heavyweights of yesteryear.

As for his "Baddest man on the Planet" boast. For a while he almost certainly was!

Tyson got personnal. Mayweather is selfish guy who thinks everything should be granted to him. Tyson disrespect him for a reason. Still, Mayweather dominated his era (but ducked Pacman when he was on his prime) like only few others.

you cant dominate an era by ducking man. PAC isnt the only fighter he ducked. he cherry picked and ducked his way to championship since 140.

Fact is Bobby Arum never wanted the fight and finally accepted to cash Manny out. Point blank. This is coming from someone who has Manny's accomplishment's in the ring as well as outside the ring. But don't get it twisted, Mayweather has fought the best fighters of his time. Maybe one or two slipped but he has beating all the greats ion his era.

Is SRL considered a ducker because he never fought Aaron Pryor? No, it would have been great if he did but it still doesn't disregard his accomplishments as a prize fighter.

I love the way Tyson was all nice and normal and jovial until the last little bit when he's discussing Floyd ... ... he completely changed, you could hear the emotion in his voice, the adrenalin, like he was in "fight or flight mode", luckily he left the scene and didn't go berserk :rofl

    Dunno what the beef is.
Floyd probably owns a strip club Tyson can longer afford to go to.

No, meaning one or two fighters he wasn't able to fight due to any number of circumstances:

    Weight
    Networks
    Money
    etc...

Floyd will be 40 years of age in less than 2 years, he's far removed from his prime as well. The thing is he preserved his body to last longer than most fighters which enables him to stay be on top of his game at his age.

Manny chose to fight in many ring wars. Yes that's what makes him great but that also is the reason why he has slipped more than Floyd over the years. If he really wanted the fight back then, he could have left Bobby a couple of years ago and became his own boss. He didn't and that's why the fight is happening now.

Again, this really is not to speak negative about an all time great in Manny, but rather to respect Floyd for staying dedicated to his craft to be able fight at a high level, this stage in his career,.
