Still not getting into Jr's resume?

Geale (#3), Murray (#6), Stevens (#10) and Macklin (#9) were all top 10 MWs when Golovkin fought them. Left Rubio out because they both fought him, albeit with an edge to Golovkin on that one. He's hardly fighting zeroes - the Haymon guys can't be on HBO, you know that.

Beside Lee, Jr's resume is stinking hot sh|t.

Freddy why so anti Golovkin?

You make a thread about his opposition and ultimate plan, when hes got the best middleweight resume out of all the top middleweight fighters, yet you don't make a thread about Cotto fighting Golovkins scalp victims :think Hes beaten the most top 10 fighters in the division yet you make a thread on his opposition, where Quillins thread? :D

    anyways,

I see no problem with Golovkin doing exactly what hes doing, and I would wager that if they keep to this plan it will work wonderfully to make him the king that all roads in middleweight lead to, and that's when the big fights will come. And Im sure his team know this.

He is fighting anyone in his division actually willing to fight him. Not just namedrop then say "That battle is out of my control" when pressed about the fight (Jacobs) or, namedrop him and then say you want the fight built up like Pac vs Mayweather (Quillin). Anyone can namedrop

Hes beaten at least 4 top 10 middleweights, more then anyone else in the division to my knowledge, and is getting closer and closer to being unavoidable for those wishing to be at the top.

If I was them my plan would be to rule middleweight with an iron fist and make sure one of the chapters in the history of the division is named after him. Not a bad plan at all, imo.

Would you be satisfied if he KTFO your boy Chavez Jr?
He is easy the best MW in the world, and at 168 i would favor only ard to beat him.

cottos at that point in his career where he can do what he pleases, and still makes ggg look like a catholic school girl...

why try and rule a weak division though ? if he's having a hard time "finding" fights vs top guys, then it's time for history to repeat itself like it has in many cases year after year, and MOVE UP !!

it doesn't matter who you'd favor, point is the world will never know cause he wants to rule 160 in one of the weakest eras of all time

What you and many more are missing and will continue to miss are more bums properly lined up for him to feast on as he continues to call out Welterweights for paydays yet is dubbed a hero by the mentally disabled entourage following him.

i mean, him waiting for that payday vs a blown up welterweight should tell you what he's after.....his team should just shut up and say, "we're waiting for the big payday, not a huge challenge"

Nah bro, that's where we truly disagree. No fighter, I don't care who you are, should be able to hold a lineal title hostage. Cotto can drop the belt and still have huge PPV fights with anyone he wants, he has forged his way to fight anyone he wants like you said, but as soon as you accept being a champion, let alone a lineal champion then you accept the responsibility of fighting the best around you, no matter what you've done. Nobody should have the right to hold a lineal title hostage from the other deserving up and comers, and disgrace the title like Cotto is doing. And people defending it is part of the problem in this sport, imo.

Why try to rule a weak middleweight division? Because hes a middleweight. And secondly, because middleweight wont always be weak.

I don't see whats so hard for people to get that not EVERY fighter is built for moving up. Freddy do you know how much he weighed 30 days away from his fight with Rubio? 165  That's LESS than Canelo weighed in his 30 day weigh in for Mayweather bro!!!! Give me a break here

Nobody in their right mind would advise a fighter who weighs 5lbs above his fight weight a month away from the fight to move up a division... it makes no long term sense at all.

people are having some short sights when viewing his career, you know as well as anyone how quickly divisions can get hot, just because middleweight is weak right now doesn't mean it will be weak 3 long years from now... and if he rules it til then and then takes on the outstanding prospects that come along and then go on to do good things after him, or take on the great 154lbers actually moving up to his division, he will be remembered as one of the best middleweights of all time.

Good thing Hopkins had the sense to not move up after he fought Simon Brown or Robert Allen for the third time. When he was a titleholder in a weak division. What did he do? He kept doing what he was doing and eventually the landscape changed and he forged an ATG middleweight legacy. Had he been A.D.D or listened to an A.D.D fanbase he would have moved up to light heavy after beating William bo james.

Anyways, again... I think youre holding Golovkin to standards you don't seem to be holding others to, and your holding him to standards that make absolutely no realistic sense at all (moving up a division you weigh less then a month out from your fights), and not seeing the bigger picture of how Golovkins career is shaping out (that he will eventually be the man in the division that all roads lead to and will be involved with bigger fights down the road)

Youre hating is strong Freddy  :!: Strong, misplaced, and without sound reason, imo.

One of the few times we truly disagree. And I just wonder why you have it out for Golovkin specifically? Just don't like the hype hes getting? His fans being re****ed? Or you just want to actually see him in more interesting fights?

I can understand all those reasons.... but I just wonder why you choose G over all the others to go at too.

Wheres your threads on LSC fighting TBD's left and right and avoiding Rigo who straight out questioned his manhood? Or if Canelo cant fight at 154 anymore to actually move up already? Or Ward saying he would fight big fights at 175 yet avoiding the direct call outs from Adonis and Kovalev?

    :think

I'm all for they hype, when it's deserved. GGG has tons of great qualities, and IMO he's wasting his career searching for greatness in a place where greatness doesn't exist (sad but true, the MW division is a joke right now)

That's like me challenging you to a taco eating contest...it's a lose lose situation for me, cause even if i win, it's expected. Now, if i were to challenge your boy mundo (i think that was his name), and beat him, then that's GREATNESS !!!!
