I can't remember the last time esb made a poster as mad as everyone has made windigo tonight, good job lads.

Tell us again how baseball players react faster to a starters mark and then run faster than usain bolt, I love that story.

Judah didn't use that punch, but that doesn't mean he was not capable of using it.

Regardless, I don't believe Floyd fought him similarly to how he fights orthodox fighters today.

Floyd tends to start aggressively, and shoot that right hand, while simultaneously pivoting to the right with his rear foot elevated, and often, momentarily squaring up as he ducks.

I pointed this out a long time ago and I noticed Guerrero must have been reading my posts because he was landing this punch at will.

In fact, Floyd had to make an adjustment and fight completely defensively where Guerrero's was simply too slow, too predictable, and not explosive enough to capitalize on Floyd.

    His punches were NEAR misses.

Remember, at that time, Guerrero couldn't even do a single pull up. He just recently started to become more explosive by integrating at strength and conditioning program into his protocol.

Even then, as you know, there are levels to athletic ability.

But anyway, I expect Floyd to get knocked down early with this shot.

You're saying Judah didn't have the leaping uppercut from the crouch in his ****nal or he didn't use it against Floyd? He used it a lot, particularly pre Kosta.

No, Judah had a great left uppercut. He last used it with great effectiveness against Santa Cruz.

It's just that Floyd wasn't open for that shot against Judah. He never put himself in position to be caught with that shot.

So Judah's left uppercut was irrelevant.

However, Floyd has changed a lot since then. I don't believe he'll utilize the same strategy against Pac that he used against Judah.

You can't throw that punch while trying to get Floyd to duck. Like I said watch how often Floyd ducked in anticipation of the left hand and right hook with Judah.

If he does that against Manny like Cotto tried to do he gets dropped with the same uppercut that dropped Cotto when he ducked.

I'll also say that Judah tends to get overwhelmed when he should be countering and attacking.

For instance, I thought for sure based on Khan's performance against McCloskey that Judah would be able to use the counter left uppercut with great success as Khan overextended himself.

Instead, Judah basically went limp into a shell. Even watching this fight, I can see where Judah did have opportunity at times when Mayweather overshot that right hand, but instead of stepping in with a left uppercut, Judah chose to step away without firing back.

I think Pac will capitalize on these opportunities and if Pac steps away he'll bounce forward with a combination.

I think this fight is going to come down to footspeed. The big question will be, can Mayweather deal with Pacquaio's footspeed?

If he can't, I'll go on record and say Mayweather takes a beating and if he wants to win, he'll have to go through a war and likely have to knock Pacquaio out.

I wasn't saying he did or should have thrown that punch against Floyd. Just remarking that he had a good one. Naz springs to mind as the guy who used it most.

I'm at the office and can't watch the Judah fight again now but I certainly will when I get home and I'll be on the lookout for what you've pointed out. Don't worry, you've sold me that KSAB. :)

Actually, watching the fight again, I do see where Zab could have thrown the left uppercut on multiple occasions, but again, Zab tends to limp up when his opponent throws, especially in combinations.

    Agree again.

On the subject of bad high guards. Khan in the late rounds against Maidana was a pathetic display, and I'm talking about before he got his bell rung. I really like Amir and he's improved a lot defensively since but god was that amateurish.

Ducky's chugging along at a steady 35 PPD average clip. Right up there behind my 45 PPD (dating back to November '06 :!:)

McGrain (3rd most posts on the site, here since '07) has 13 PPD.

bballchump11 might have the highest among longtime members after me, joining in October 2010 and through now averaging 19 PPD.

edit: nope, that is CST80. Joined seventeen months ago, averaging 28 PPD.
