Haha, come on man. I'm not his biggest fan but he is a personality in the sport. I don't really respect the man but would be sad to see him go, just for boxing's sake.

 

If I were you I wouldnt celebrate so soon. Floyd's gambling, spending habits and outrageous generosity towards ghetto leeches might mean he will have to stick around for some ill advised comebacks

I've been a diehard boxing fan for 20 years.

Boxers should fight the best, Floyd's done everything he can to take the path of least resistance for the maximum $$$. Anyone who can't see that isn't a true fan.

Anyone who CAN see that and chooses to ignore it? Well.

I agree he has brought a lot of attention to boxing. The problem is; Floyd is to boxing what the x factor is to music. I acknowledge his talent but unfortunately he hasnt used it to its potential.

Maybe he could have actually been TBE but because of the above, he isnt, and can never be in the running for that accolade, nowhere near.

 

Mayweather is good for boxing. Love him or hate him boxing is mainstream whenever he is involved.

The sport as a whole will suffer when he departs.
