:D I want to see how skinny Froch would look at a JMW weigh-in.

Not saying I disagree he could potentially make it but he'd look like an Olsen twin.

Can someone list the actual "IN THE RING" weights of Froch and his opponents in the fights ?
There's no detail/facts on this that I can find.

You guys aren't understanding. Froch cuts no weight. Just like Manny and Floyd.

He weighs less than Alvarez, Trout, Lara, Kirkland, and GGG in the ring.

He does say in the same article that he used to walk around at 12 stone and could have made middleweight earlier on in his career.

People place too much importance on rehydration weight.

Kessler is the same old fashioned way. Kessler moved up to LHW for 1 fight vs Allan Green and he weighed 170 lbs at the weigh in.

Andre Ward was a young amateur at 178 lbs. I cant imagine how much much weight he is cutting now.

Froch could have cut at most at 160-162 never lower.

    :deal

I've met Carl, and standing next to him I tell you I was astonished that he could get down to 168!! He's virually the same height as me (i'm 6ft 1") and seemed to be around the 185-196 mark (just a guess, based on my flabby 218 and the guy being beside me)

Dont get me wrong, Carl is a world class athlete and i'm a fat old ******* with a pair of tits Jordan would be proud to show off, but my shoulders are still there and Carl has a good pair of shoulders on him.

I certainly would not a consider him to be a small SMW.

    :lol::rofl:lol:

Looks can be deceiving, though dublyn. He weighed 171 in the ring for the first Kessler fight five years ago and 173 for Groves II last year.

Froch is actually a bigger SMW. Look at his frame not how much weight he does or does not cut.

He's not tiny, nor huge at the weight, I reckon around 170-175 in ring?

I think the fact he doesn't have to starve or cut loads of weight have helped him more than a few more pounds would on fight night. His renowned stamina would suffer for sure. In a way its just as amazing that some people can cut so much weight and still be efffective on fight night!

What it does mean though is he would suffer moving up a division in a way most fighters don't/won't. a 172 lb Froch against a 185+ Kovalev would be quite a disparity.

?? When people say big/small at the weight they are generally talking about weight, not height or reach. You know, like we have weight divisions, not height.

Stop with the myth that he has limited skills and no defense. If that were true he wouldn't be beating everyone in the division. He has world class skills and excellent defense. He just isn't Andre Ward.
