As many have said I like Froch the fighter, but Froch in front of the camera is sometimes cringeworthy. Mayweather didn't really know what to say.

Surely Hatton would have been a more interesting choice

Very good point, I agree he would have been. I just feel with the dynamics of Froch fighting on Sky and him being a current fighter he was the obvious and predictable pick, even though he's very poor as a pundit. I hope Hatton is in the studio come fight night, but won't hold my breath at all.

I thought the bold Carl was quite good, it looked like he was trying to stare down Mayweather as well lol

If he'd have just cut out the excessive details it wouldn't have been as cringe worthy.

The thing is that like him or loath him Froch is the UK's biggest name current champion so it gave Sky more credibility.

Mayweather sometimes doesn't pretend he pays a lot of attention to other fighters but he will do as he'll obviously need to know what's going on for the sake of his own fighters under Mayweather promotions.

And at the end of the day Carl Froch is well respected and I certainly don't think Floyd said what he said about Froch as part of an act. I recall Tyson saying he is a big Froch fan also.

I think I started disliking him when they had some kind of "met your hero" thing on Sky, and they had some wee kid on who's hero was Froch. Fair enough.

But then he entered the room, as a suprise, to meet this kid. The wee lad was completely shocked ("Wow! Carl Froch!"), and the Carl ruined it all by leaning back and saying "so, I heard you wanted to meet the Cobra" or some such ****e.

Now, I used to hate it when Hatton referred to himself in the third person, but at least he didn't refer to himself as a third person venomous snake.

Sorry, might seem petty (you really had to be there, as the saying goes), but it certainly got on my wick.

Floyds like - 'who??? George Foreman???'

Honestly Carl since fighting Groves you have gone from being a nice guy to being a complete tool.

Froch is so self-absorbed he's actually funny with it.
Thing is, Floyd Mayweather acknowledged him as a great champion without any prompting, but Froch still had to blow his own trumpet as soon as he opened his mouth.

I don't understand froch. It's not as if he doesn't get plaudits or all the credit rightfully deserved. Why he always has to mention the KO of George Groves I have no idea.

It's creepy how often froch has to get 'the brutal ko of George Groves at Wembley' in every conversation.

The fight was a year ago, it's done, we know what happened move on.

i didnt think that was too bad, it was an interesting enough question, i was expecting him too come across far worse.
He is an awful pundit/media person though, cant stand him commentating or anything. Dont know whod youd senf over though khans terrible too, and the smith are boring, getting sick of hatton.
