A fair point and I agree with it to a degree. But if fighters can keep openly breaking contract stipulations like this, what example is this going to set? A negative one. I really don't mind myself what gloves Pac uses as long as it's legal (But that's just me, I'm not a pro boxer, I'm not in the fight game at all). They were the ones who signed the contract and the contract clearly states that no horsehair gloves can be used for this bout. That's my point. I would love it if it's completely solved because I'm a fight fan. But as somebody who is in business, I have an issue seeing a team blatantly break the rules of the contract. That's all.
Wrong move Froid !! You're just giving Pac more reason to eagerly disassemble that pretty face tomorrow..
That the thing, they did not have to rush ! Floyd side didn't rush to sign the contract until they where completely satisfied! It was Arum that was saying who cares about the details, but now they are trying to brake them, and now they are ****ed!
Sorry man I don't know anything about horses. I've made a bet a couple of times (Just really small money and lost horribly haha) I want to learn something about horses though, it seems like fun.
That's completely fine with me, I'm not Mayweather, I'm just a fight fan, that's all. But if I was May, I'd bring the issue up again. Pretty sure you would too if you were him. It's written in the contract. If your boss manages to take parts of your salary away without reasonable grounds, would you accept it? Pretty sure you wouldn't. You'd bring up the contract.
Exactly !! Now if Floyd start breaking stipulation of the contract we could have problem! Why because NO is honoring the contract!! Would have been fair if Floyd came in a 148lb ?
Roach is going to have a field day with Floyd's wraps. Floyd is gonna have to remove some of that gauze for sure. Fred will probably find fault with Floyd specially constructed gloves also. Goes around comes around Floyd.
I think the fact the negotiations and promotion around this has been so rushed contributed to the confusion. I think this also contributed to the commissions approval of Pac's gloves, even though they don't bide with the contract. A lot of money has already been invested and investors are already counting their profits to be all starry eyed. Often times in big business the rules will be bent for special occasions.
he would pay if he cant. you know the drill. was it in the contract maidana cant wear gloves approved by the commission?
If its in the contract then their should not be a problem! Again Arum and Kuntz should have represented their fighter better !!! How do you let your fighter get screwed by NOT READING THE CONTRACT!!!!
Just a slimy move, don't you think? Signing the contract that no horsehair gloves can be used But bringing horsehair gloves anyway and thinking that it's going go through because they know that Mayweather would never be able to cancel the bout It's just a shady move and even if it's successful, it's distasteful. Just my two cents. If someone did that to you, how would you feel?
