So you're telling me Joe Tessitore and ESPN are making **** up?

    I doubt it.

If it wasn't true, May's team would have 0 case in their 5 HOUR DEBATE with NSAC.

    Common sense man

IF this is what has happened then yeah, it's a significant and very negative development for TMT.

So the scammers are the ones that are right and the ones who are scammed are the wrong ones. :think:lol:

    Ffs.

I don't just blame Pac's team, I also blame NSAC for allowing this to go through.

    It's so stupid.

    Come on, man!

ESPN did not cite their source, and did not confirm the information their sources provided. All they did was some vague "those close to the situation". Again, for all we know, his sources were Floyd, Sr, and Uncle Rog', and they probably have no idea what is or isn't in the contract.

Probably because people feel that foam gloves only would take away Pac's biggest edge, giving Floyd the advantage. People may think that if other fighters can wear these gloves in other fights, but when you face Floyd, you can't wear them, that this gives him an unfair advantage.

I believe they were witnesses to the glove inspection.

After that, Floyd/Pac/NSAC and their teams had a closed door debate as to how the situation should be handled.

It was stated that it was a 5 hour long process, and at the end, Floyd's team lost.

The fight will go through most likely, but I just feel that it's distasteful. Leaves a bitter taste in the mouths of boxing fans who want to see a fair fight.

No it wasn't a scam, a scam would be illegal, this was a loop hole. TMT being the business gurus they are should have safeguarded against this possibility. They completely, flatly, shamefully, amateurishly failed to safeguard their fighter..

Fred still has to examine Floyd's gloves and wraps. Hopefully Fred will finally put an end to Floyd's illegal use of gauze.

I can agree to this to some point. But then if they feel THAT strongly about the gloves, they should not have signed the contract

They should have renegotiated with Floyd's team and maybe try to convince them to allow them to use the gloves that they wanted to use.

Not pull some stupid shady **** like this.

    It's so damn low.

Who said Pac agreed to it? Who said they signed it? Check the article again, it's more of a verbal contract that Moonves likely approved.

And why the hell Floyd has to dictate what the commission approves? Did Michael Jordan say at all before a basketball match that their goal ring shall be larger than their opponent because it is safer that way?

Floyd team knew they do not have a case. Pacs lawyers were involved and Floyds team capitulated. Pathetic. He lost again.

This is illegal (Technically), it's a breach of the contract. Breaking a contract by law is illegal and Floyd can sue for damages.

I don't know what NSAC is doing, they definitely might be on Team Pac's payroll. That's what I think right now.

No they didn't, NSAC was the one who forced them to acquiesce.

Team Pac didn't do a damn thing but cheat, and then hide behind NSAC.

Mayweather's camp protested the commission's approval of Pacquiao's gloves, claiming the Reyes gloves are horse-hair style and do not satisfy the contract.

Nothing suggested that it was a verbal contract.

It's all written, you better believe it.

Pac got the NSAC to approve the gloves but did not inform that that he had a contract with Mayweather that said that HH gloves were not to be used this fight.

NSAC did not know this because HH gloves are legal in boxing.

They thought it was just a very normal process that they routinely go through.

But it's very very different in this case.
