Manny destroyed Rios and Algieri, and according to many he was beating JMM before the KO. So how did he all of the sudden become a shot washed up fighter overnight soon after the Mayweather-Pacquaio fight was announced? Where is the logic in this?
because Flo mos want to convince themselves he's shot. Reality is that Manny has arguably looked better in his last 4 fights than Floyd. He was beating up JMM (a p4p top fighter) before making a reckless error, he destroyed rios, comfortably beat Bardley (top p4p fighter) and destroyed Algieri. Floyd, didn't look great vs Guerrero, looked okay vs canelo and looked shot vs Maidana.
He is almost as good as he has been the last 6 years or so. Sure, he go KOed by Marquez but he has always had difficulty with Marquez. With the exception of Marquez he has dominated everyone else even in his so called loss to Bradley.
they are obviously not in their prime but they both take good care of their bodies and work hard. Given they are unique athletes, they are still is tip top form. If i had to pick who's slowed down more, i would say Floyd, slightly. Pac looked quick and strong vs algieri. Floyd looked vulnerable with Maidana, in both fights. Now it may be hard to judge Floyd's form in these two fights given Maidana tried to make it a brawl but i think a younger Floyd would've been more mobile and avoided the ropes more. In the second fight, Floyd moved a bit more but he also clinched/held Maidana 70 times in 12 rounds, which could be a strategy needed after losing a step.
unfortunately for floyd, Pac is a nuclear version of madaina, way faster and stronger and skilled, floyd is going to be eating gloves left and right.. i predict a painful and embarrassing night for PBF
He is not a shot fighter. He is past his absolute beast peak. So is Mayweather. Neither of them looks as invincible as they used to five years ago. Everything else is just hype-up and trash talk from desperate fans trying to justify their precious vaste of oxygen on this planet.
