Both these guys are at a stage where they could decline(and more or less have been declining) significantly on a fight by fight basis.

I'm hoping for a great fight on it's own terms, but it ****es me off it couldn't have been made when both still had a claim to ability that at least somewhat matches the hype.Yeah, i know both are still the best around here, but the time when both were actually arguably great fighters at these weights is firmly behind them.

Both of them in their current incarnation would be fodder for even someone like Terry Norris, far less a Hearns, Leonard, McCallum etc

5-6 years ago would have been ideal, true, but I still think they have more left than fighters in match-ups like Ali-Frazier II and III, Holy-Tyson and Leonard-Hagler.

yeah, can't argue much with that and i don't think we need them to be at their peak to get a great fight anyway. There's lots of big fights that didn't happen at ideal times.Nothing new, but still frustrating.

Listen pal. Im not arguing against anyone. I was arguing against you with your hideous statement

"what ever JMM can do, Floyd can do better"

Thats not only an insult to Juan, me, and all my fellow Mexicans, its an insult to Manny

Plenty Floyd can do. He can stop him before the 6th or give him a thorough drubbing over 12 like he gave Marky boy.

Marky boy was getting the shyt beaten out of him before KTF06. It took him 4 fights to land the KO.
Taking 4 fights to do what he did , takes the shine off what he did.

Great fighters can do in one fight what Marquez needed 4 fights to achieve.
People will always say he got Pacman when he took his eye off the ball and refused point blank to ever face him again.

Particularly Manny's condition given his age and mileage is really something. Very few veterans prove a force again on the world stage after getting knocked cold.

I have huge respect for Marquez, but I think Floyd is a better fighter and certainly a better WW. And I think most will agree with that. He has similar timing and precision, but is bigger, stronger, faster and harder to hit. Something that was quite clear when they fought each other. That's why I think he'll do even better against Pac than Marquez did on balance over their four fights.

And I think this is a pretty standard ****ysis of the fight.

Are you meaning to say that Floyd was anything but clearly superior in that fight?

You mean a guy 2 weight divisions higher who STILL was too scared to make weight?

You seem to be the kinda guy who just argues for the sake of arguing

    You wanna stop it?

    Manny was awesome

He got annihilated by a better fighter

But he got up, and he has his chance against a guy tonight who wont be looking to KILL him

    Quit arguing with me fool

You're a strange one and don't give too bright an impression.

It was you who objected to what I said. I only explained to you why I consider Floyd to be an even tougher prospect than Marquez, Pac's most difficult opponent so far. But, yeah, no point in discussing it further.
