I can guarantee you I haven't! You really think I would make this up? I don't think anyone would be able to make that up its that ridiculous. It was a guy I play cricket with and we were having a stroll over to the local chippy and we were discussing the fight as I didn't know if he was a boxing fan at all, clearly he wasn't much of one. So yeah I was very chocked when he said that as you can imagine.

I remember when a newreader on SKY asked George Groves, after the DeGale win, if he's interested in fighting Amir Khan !

    Nothing tops that.

I heard this week that the only reason people think pacquiao is any good is because of some lucky punches against Hatton, this came from overhearing someone who knew roughly who the fighters were because of sky sports news coverage recently, giving his expert knowledge to some folk who hadn't a clue about boxing but asked as they were curious about the hype and built up that has came with this super fight.

That was class. Groves tried to make light of it and move on but the interviewer was insistent: 'Groves V Khan, Stateside?'

I had someone try and tell me Pacquiao won the fight 113-112. I mean firstly it was bad enough they had Pacquaio winning, but secondly how could they score it 113-112!!!

"Pacquiao should have gone for the knock-out" is the best thing I've heard post fight. Or that he should have "dominated" Floyd instead of trying to box with him.

I like the showbiz gays but I'm not sure sports interest is their sort of thing.

Remember back in time of Hatton fighting Floyd there was fella I was talking to a week or so before it who claimed he had fought and beat Ricky early in his career so didnt know why it was called undefeated. I obviously told him he was talking **** but he kept on saying it was true and to convince everyone lol. A week or 2 later had a call-out to his house (fire service) with a chimney fire and he was lying on his sofa out cold with a pair of y fronts and piles of hash and medication on the table then I realised the guy was just away with it. Its really true though everyone seems to become an expert when events like these happen lol
