    1) Schemling vs. Louis II
    2) Frazier vs. Ali I
    3) Mayweather vs. Pacquiao

    You guys have to remember how big those fights were despite the absence of the internet among other things. Relative to their time, those were bigger fights.

    Ali Foreman was a joke
    Wlad Haye was better but Wlad is hated by some Americans and Haye wasn't that well liked.

    Louis-Schmeling 2 was far bigger than this fight tonight. It wasn't just two boxers....it was a contest between good and evil. Not that Schmeling was evil, but the nation he represented truly was. This was a fight with no rivals in terms of significance.

    The absence of the internet made things bigger. In today's world you have many options, so many entertainment things to choose from. News is available 24/7 whenever you want it. People are more connected, yet more insulated than ever.

    In 1940's you listened to the radio or went to the movie theater to watch the news reels, and whatever they talked about what was everyone had to listen to. That made it THE news of the day.
    Today, you can just click click click to your own thing.

    In US and Germany Louis-Schmeling had a much bigger impact then May vs Pac. But in the rest of the world ill say May vs Pac.
