How did Mayweather throw more punches than Pacquiao?

    With jabs maybe? I dont know, but those punchstats are highly innacurate.

    Manny threw more power punches ( 236 over 168 ). He was more aggressive then Floyd in a couple of rounds, but Mayweather won most of the rounds with his jab and accurate counter-punching.

    not to mention half of pacquiao power punches came in two big flurries where it landed on gloves :lol:

    Let's be absolutely clear here - Floyd outlanded Manny by a ratio of 2:1

    Throwing is not scoring. Besides that punch stats were fairly even with both throwing roughly the same but with the superior boxer landing with much greater frequency.

    That's a bit embarrassing from Pacquiao's point of view. The volume puncher versus the pot shotter? In terms of working his way in, cornering Floyd and unleashing some combinations on him, he did worse than most opponents Floyd has faced in the last few years.

    Mayweather froze pacquaio with the pawing jab, "footwork" feints, and being proactive and always trying to be one step ahead of the game. Also, Pacquaio did have an injury, which probably contributed a little bit.
