Manny whooped Floyd? When did that fight happen?

The last round was a bit savage when they all but stopped calling the action in the ring but hey, Floyd was dominating so why bother right?

I saw action from both corners between rounds, not just Floyds.

Well they were the lead promoter.

You need to do some research before running your mouth online bub. 48-0! Easy work!

People who think that Floyd didn't run are crazy! Dude was on his bike!

Khan or Brook would box Floyd easy.
It's just that Floyd waits for them to be old or bashed up before he faces them.
Same thing he did since tha start of his career.

I think you confuse being a defensive counter puncher with being a runner, especially when Floyd threw more and landed more than Pacquaio.

Pacquaio bombed this fight, not Floyd.

Bull****, Khan would be lucky if he took one of those straight right hands without crumpling. Brook wouldn't go close to Floyd.

You've just seen him defeat the guy that everyone said "Was the style to beat Floyd" - and apparently, Floyd is ageless, and being 38 doesn't impact him the same way being 36 impacts Pacquaio?

    **** off, you stupid ****.

It's highly unlikely. Mayweather is most likely fighting Khan or anyone random next and retires.

I bet manny and roach didn't even study mayweather's style. They look dumb enough.

All they did for two months, was stupid karate kid moves, and slow motion mitt work.

A parkinson grandpa moving mitts in fixed repeated way is supposed to resemble a moving skilled boxer?

****ing morons, both of them. Good riddance.

YDKSAB! How about blaming Pac and Roach for not being able to cut the ring off, did they work on that at all, were they surprised Floyd used ring?? If fighter knows how to cut the ring of opponent cant "run", just look at Golovkin. Pac was coming in straight lines not cutting the ring off properly, not even once.

He made Pac miss, but he never made him pay.

    Pac finished unscathed.

Floyd initiated all the clinches and systematically held on the inside.

He ran and hid behind his much longer reach against a much, much lighter fighter that he didn't dare trading with.

The reaction of the crowd said it all.

    Agreed.

His style is negative and he will not be missed.

Ah well, in four months time he will be gone for good! :happy:happy

Before this fight, for years, anyone who supported Mayweather used to say words to the effect of

"Floyd will be too good for Manny, too quick on his feet, too good defensively and too capable with the counter punch for Manny to have any success."

Anyone who supported Pacquaio would say words to the effect of

"Pacquaio is too fast, and will overwhelm and swarm Floyd and when he hits Floyd, Floyd will be hurt and go down"

So what we saw was Floyd doing what every single person I think I've ever seen say Floyd would win, do what they said he would do - back peddle, counter punch, use his defense and comprehensively outbox Pacquaio....

And people are somehow surprised, saying this was a boring fight and blaming Mayweather Jr? Where was the Pacquaio that was supposed to be faster? More powerful? Able to overwhelm and swarm Floyd despite his ATG level defense?

I could find threads written in 2009 that outlined the exact way this fight went, the reality is this was never a hard fight to pick and always relied on Pacquaio finding a miracle punch from somewhere to ever have a chance. But now we want to ***** on Floyd for winning the fight the exact way all pundits said he would from 2009 onwards?

This fight would have had the exact same result in 2009, if anything, Floyd would've won a clearer/wider margin.

He defeated himself, and the sport of boxing.

He refused to engage a much, much lighter and smaller man, ran for his life, clinched and hid behind his reach.

Boxing is supposed to be a contact sport.
    Apparently, not for Floyd.
