And what did manny do? **** all. He threw less punches than floyd. Me and my mates were screaming for manny to do something and he did nothing, manny should be ashamed, he didn't even go for broke despite trailing by an absolutely huge margin on the cards.

Pretty much everyone who thought Floyd was going to win, envisioned a fight exactly like this. Don't know why people are so surprised.

Floyd didn't fight a cowardly fight, but he certainly was more guilty of making the fight boring than Pacquiao.

Floyd didn't start out the fight running, but he ran more and more as the fight got later and later. He started running after Floyd Sr. started yelling at Floyd telling him to do more, saying he wasn't throwing any hooks. They were points in the last few rounds where he literally was running, backtracking without punching. That's running. Manny was coming forward, Floyd was retreating backward and moving side to side without throwing punches.

What Floyd was doing was effective, and I do have a great appriciation for the sweet science and fighting off the backfoot. Many of those "running" rounds were Floyd rounds because he landed a few nice single punches throughout the round and Manny couldn't find him enough to land clean. Many fighters can back track as sweet scientists and still be entertaining. (Sweet Pea, Ali, SRL etc) It's in the eye of the beholder, but when Floyd does it he doesn't do it with the kind of elegance that ATGs of the past did it.

Regardless of where you stand on this though, you certainly can't blame the fighter that is trying to land combos (Manny in this case) as the one who is making it boring. Floyd trying to run away is kinda like a parody of a sweet scientist.

Floyd is not graceful in the ring like the best sweet science defensive masters of the sport. Sweet Pea was entertaining and he was a defensive fighter. Ali was entertaining. Floyd could do the same things as those guys, but if it doesn't look as good, then it is not as entertaining as those who did it in the past. Because Floyd is not as good as being a sweet scientist as Ali, SRL, etc. So I am offended by those who say Floyd is boxing in its most purest form, that's total BS because Floyd ain't anywhere near as graceful / smooth in the ring as guys like Sweet Pea who made it look easy. Floyd make defensive fighting look ugly in comparison to the defensive masters who made it look so sweet!! That said, Floyd is 38 yrs old and obviously isn't the guy he once was. When he fought Hatton, for example, he was very entertaining fighting defensively making Hatton pay. That's NOT what happened here.

Threw more punches and outlanded him.

Sometimes he controlled the centre of the ring, sometimes he moved to the ropes. He kept looking for the counter hook in the corners.

Mayweather taught Pacquiao a boxing lesson. Completely neutralised Mannys offence, whilst making him look a completely one dimensional fighter.

He did the same to Canelo. Pacquiao just isn't in Mayweathers league. He makes great fighters look ordinary.

Apparently not for manny either, who threw and landed less than floyd. He should be ashamed of his performance.

I don't think you can blame Pac that much. Floyd nullified him, like most knew he could and would. Mayweather is the superior talent, and should have made him pay. He has that in his locker but didn't employ it.

I think they are more upset that it happened. Still in denial about Floyd, now that the man who was supposed to beat him was made to look ordinary.

Floyd's job was to fight his fight and Manny's job was to fight his. Since Mayweather fought his fight, he won.

Seriously, it went pretty much exactly how people who were being real expected. I wanted Manny to bring it...he brought it in one round, that's basically it.

Pac had a MIR scan which proved he had a tear in the shoulder they never even allowed him to take a shot before the fight

Pac rocked mayweather even though with these injuries that was not a 100% pac in there maybe 30%

If true, that's impressive. Like when Roy Jones beat Bernard Hopkins with one hand...

    Floyd ran for 12 rounds.
Floyd was obviously given every close round regardless of who was the aggressor.
Floyd continually used the elbow and the clinch.
Floud was the only one visibly hurt from power punches, during the rounds around 4-7 Where Pac dominated.
Andre Ward wouldn't get off Floyds knob for the entire broadcast - how bias can a commentator be?

This is what I expected. Crooked judging (118-110?), refereeing and a running man. Somehow with all the odds in his favor including gloves and ring size (it was huge) he was still struggling and got caught with decent shots on a number of occasions. They are both way past their best, but to give Floyd huge credit here is uncalled for. Pac came to fight but his legs weren't able to chase for 12 rounds.
