You know, you can tell very quickly on this forum who knows their boxing and who doesn't.

If you think Floyd Mayweather is a runner, than you would've absolutely hated Pernell WHitaker, a guy universally considered a top 20 fighter of all time.

He's campaigning in his 4th and 5th weight divisions. He's not the offensive virtuoso he was in the lighter weights when he put together 5 or 6 punch combinations. He has to fight in a safer manner, he's in his late 30's taking on the best fighters in the world.

This is what happens when you take on master defensive fighters, they tend to make good fighters look subpar. In this instance, Floyd made Manny, a fellow ATG, look like an ordinary opponent.

Floyd Mayweather, especially after last night's dominant performance has catapulted in my eyes up the ATG ladder. He's one helluva fighter and a hard out for anyone in any era (especially south of 147,) regardless of what his detractors may say.

He clinched Pacman several times to make him reset. He noticed Pacman did this against common opponents, and he decided to implement it in his own game plan.

Let's not make him out to be Wladimir with the holding. He was the ring general last night and made a really great fighter look average.

there will never be fireworks with floyd fights. he is just too defensive because of lack of power. it takes a really rough opponent with a lot of stamina to force him into a fight. its just bad the aggressive, reckless pac was tamed by ko6.

Also it was reported during the telecast that the fight was cutting off in the phillipines at certain intervals during the fight. I'm pretty sure they showed round 4 but probably did their best to show a manny flurry or something. Floyd dominated Manny. The best you could give Manny was 3 rounds. He was gun shy and the right hand tamed him a lot of times he tried to close the distance.

The body language tells the story. You can talk like you won but the body language gives it away.
