30-0 Danny Garcia, lineal champion @ 140 I think this should be Floyd's going away bout. Danny is a very game opponent who actually stands a chance. If he loses here, then whatever. The torch is passed. If he wins, it's an amazing win, beating an undefeated fighter in Garcia and riding off into the sunset.
No offense, but the only thing Garcia brings is an undefeated record and a lineal championship from a lower division, similar to what Hatton brought to the table when he faced Floyd. I like Garcia, he's a fun fighter to watch, but he is WAY too slow for someone like Mayweather. FLoyd would beat him handily in a very uneventful UD win.
Let Lamont Peterson finish what he started (I had Danny winning 115-113, but Peterson KO's him in a rematch).
If there is a single fighter out there that did deserve the fight but would be at the back of the que for it now, it's Danny. He hasn't looked good in a long time.
You know what, I agree with you 100%. I shouldn't have compared him with Hatton. Ricky was an actual live dog in that fight, and really did bring the fight to Floyd for the first 7 or 8 rounds. Garcia's 0 has really been protected, and would get shattered if he stepped into the ring with Mayweather. He's too quick, too skilled and way too experienced for someone like Danny. Anyway Garcia hasn't done anything yet at 147 to warrant a match with him.
I would like, Thurman or Brook. I don't want to see Khan or Garcia get a shot. I wouldn't mind a Cotto rematch either.
Garcia stands no chance with Mayweather LOL the guy gets outboxed by Peterson and Herrera and you are saying he stands a chance?
Garcia is a ****ing clown. He should probably try to beat Herrera convincingly before thinking he has any chance against Floyd.
