I thought he'd want to beat marciano's record at the very least.

He just dispatched of pacquaio with not much effort, so im sure he could do the same too the other ww's. I think brook and thurman give him a closer fight, But He wants to stay away from Andrade, and of course andrade as done nothing to deserve the fight, so that wont happen anyway.

Andrade is terribly overrated Thurman and Brook have the best chance at WW, but I want to see a Floyd Cotto rematch.

No more rematches. Mayweather beat him, it wasnt that close and it wont be any different.

Let the young hungry lions have a shot. :good

Do you actually believe Floyd will retire after 49-0? :D

He'd go for 50-0, he just tries to sell his 50th fight:good

Yes, I don't think Floyd retires even after 50th fight,

but every his next fight will be sold like 'last'.

Floyd's first 'last' fight occured back in 2002, it was the Castillo rematch :yep

I have a feeling we might see a Pac rematch for 50-0.
May 7th, 2016. Pay day is irresistable and plenty of time to build it up again.

    He will do.

He will fight and win his 49th, "Retire", and come back when it suits him for one last fight, thus giving him a reason for facing a less skilled opponent.

    The master of media.

He has "retired" before, and I don't see this any differently.

Call me stupid (won't be the first time) but I'd like to see a Cotto rematch also.

MGM have their new stadium/arena build next year don't they? can see them offering Floyd a good amount of $$$$ to fight there, will get to 50-0 too.

Obviously he'll have one more win (September) and then pretend to retire at 49-0.
    He'll take 2016 off.

He'll come back in 2017 at age 40 to break Marciano's record.

50-0 is his pension fund. No need to go for that whilst he still has untold millions.

A Cotto rematch for the MW title would be an interesting way to go out at 49-0. Then take some time off and let things settle at WW and fight the guy that comes out on top in about a year.

He'd get some serious hate. We all know who the real MW Champ is.
