    I'd find any mayweather achievements at 160 in single fight terms irrelevant unless it's Golovkin.

    Him beating Cotto again and retiring as middle champ would just further highlight how watered down and easy multi weight accomplishments have become over the decades.Smoke and Mirrors.

    Beating Cotto would just be him beating a weak MW champ. Which is pretty much what nearly happened when Armstrong nearly beat Garcia. I don't think painting it as unreasonable because there is a better fighter in the division is reasonable. There's often a better fighter in the division.

    It is true that Mayweather asked for Olympic-level drug testing -- but in a sport that isn't regulated by a central body like other sports are, he is entitled to ask that of an opponent, just as it is the right of that opponent to refuse.

    I don't see it as an unreasonable request, nor malicious in intent. How could he know that Pacquiao was so adverse to give blood? No-one did. It was a huge coincidence.

    Evander Holyfield, Shane Mosley, Vargas and Margarito have been caught cheating -- and Pacquaio's rise through the weightclasses certainly captures the imagination. Even with PED's it is an achievement. Floyd Mayweather sr was vocal very early about his suspicion of Pac being on PED's.

    Blood-doping like EPO really does give an enormous advantage. The increase in stamina is enormous.

    Conclusion: I don't think Mayweather asking for PED testing = wanting to sabotage the match. I think that's outrageous.

    Floyd didn't like the look of that guy who was running through Cotto - as was the way he described him.

    And yet he did sabotage the match, and seemed rather satisfied about that.

    Let's assume Pacquiao was on PEDs in 2009 then.
    Mayweather didn't want to fight him, right ?

    Yeah, I agree with that. Don't think it would really add anything. We already know he beats Cotto - another clear victory would put it a bit further beyond doubt, that's all.

    Beating Golovkin - which I don't think is unfeasible - would be a fantastic achievement for someone who peaked at 130, though.

    He's a control freak. The negotiations for this fight proved that. There was no way he was going to make the fight without that drug testing once Manny said "no" whatever the reason.

    Was he scared to fight Pacquiao? Maybe, but I personally doubt that. He's an elite plus athlete. But there's now way to know and his conduct certainly wasn't satisfying. But I would, personally, have to reject any certitude.
