Manny Pacquaio was a very big letdown last night.

I expect Mayweather to win a wide U/D, but only because of his superior boxing ability, but I didn't expect Mayweather to win so easily without being on his A-game. Floyd didn't even enter his C-Game and he still beat Pacquiao rather easily. The likes of Cotto, Maidana, even Ortiz caused Mayweather more problems. Pacquiao had chances to throw punches and he just didn't, because when he did, Floyd didnt do nothing but just cover up. Pacquiao could of just outworked Floyd, but instead he went all punch shy. Personally it made me think that Pacquaio just turned up for the payday and didn't even put an effort in the fight.

Overall, Pacquiao could of made this a good fight but he was a huge letdown. Even Floyd must of been surprised how easy his night was.

He was awful, he stunk the place out.

I guess that is why he was so resistant to the drug testing.

    I don't think he was a letdown.

maybe if you've missed all his fights since, say, 2011.

I have no doubt Pacquiao wanted to win that fight badly, but he just didn't have an answer for Floyd. I've always known he wasn't the cleverest fighter in the ring but I thought he had a bit more going on upstairs during a fight than that. He showed Floyd a few angles, tried to throw in some unorthodox footwork at times, and that was about it. I thought he'd bring more, so yeah, disappointing, and Freddie Roach didn't seem to have any solid advice for him whatsoever. So much for building a plan to beat him for the last 6 years.

Could of came in with a better game plan. Floyd wasn't exactly doing anything new or unusual. Roach just doesn't get it when it comes to Floyd.

Why do you think Pac was reluctant to let his hands?:think
    Hey remember Mayweather can't punch.

Pac was being careful because he didnt want to get hit on the counter.

Bigger man with longer reach won.

This is all true. Pacquiao could have made the fight more competitive if he fought the way he fought Clottey. He had more speed than Mayweather but a lot less accuracy.

He had enough speed and power to hurt Mayweather just by punching his arms and body over 12 rounds like he did with Clottey but he paced himself and somehow was concerned about Mayweather's counters.

It could be that Mayweather has underrated power. At the same time Calzaghe proved that you can beat Hopkins using volume so the same kind of fight and Pacquiao could have beat Mayweather but Pacquiao didn't have the sort of power and timing to do what Calzaghe did.

Also Calzaghe could change his style up. Pacquiao didn't change his style consistently when he was having success. For example his feints were working well and he made Floyd freeze up at times.

Since coming off PEDs he simply doesnt have the same stamina he once had all those years ago. He can no longer go the full three minutes working solidly throwing punches like he used too.

He must have wanted, but he didn't show any will in the ring. He could have made it more competitive, but he was too narcissistic, self-confident, careless, hypoctitical and stupid to think that he is doing enough to win the fight. Freddy Roach has contributed to that.

After all, I'm glad that the truth, which lies in strategy and dedication, has finaly won the accumulation of lies, public manipulation and hypocricity.

Mayweather can punch, that's all nonsense. Mayweather is a terrific boxer, one of the best ever to lace up gloves IMO, but when Pacquiao had him on the ropes and was throwing punches, Floyd just covered up without throwing much back. In the centre of the ring, Floyd dominated the distance and was just the better boxer. Pacquiao was too kind to Floyd and allowed him to control the centre of the ring far too easily.

It's the same story over and over. If you're a strong, aggressive inside fighter who can bully Mayweather onto the ropes and pin him there for long periods of time, you can have success in the same manner that Castillo and Maidana did. Unfortunately, it's easier said than done because Floyd is deceptively strong and a top notch inside fighter himself.

If you allow him to fight anywhere around the center of the ring though, chances of beating him drop exponentially.

I don't know what it was, but to me, Floyd didn't box that well, he didn't need to box that well because Pacquiao boxed so poorly. Pacquiao could of put more of an effort and then you would of seen Floyd also increase his game and win, but atleast you would of got a much more interesting bout.

Pacquiao came to fight. No shame in that. He took the fight to Floyd busted him up real good in the 4th. Floyd did his thing, he did what he do best.

I feel though that Pacquaio was strong enough to pin Mayweather on the ropes and land some punches. Overall Pacquiao didnt land many punches on Floyd when Floyd was on the ropes, but the compilation of punches would eventually take affect, but once again, Pacquiao didn't seem to try hard enough to continously put Mayweather on the ropes. Mayweather is not the hardest to get on the ropes, because he naturally moves to the ropes, but Mayweather is very hard to hit whilst on the ropes and then he comes back with punches on his own, but Pacquiao punch output and speed would of made it very hard for Floyd to do that. Overall, Pacquiao didn't seem to bothered. I saw no urgency, no determination to win the fight. Makes me think Pacquiao wanted the fight for the big payday and that's it.
