Where was the running? I mean Ive seen him use a lot of movement before, but the majority of the fight was in close quarters. There were times were Pac was right infront of Floyd and just didn't throw. He didn't use Baldimir fight type of movement either. Where was the running? I don't understand.
By running I think people mean rolling out to the right off of the ropes and controlling the distance.
It became an excuse before the fight started. A boxer can use movements as a defense, block the shots, clinch or dive and use upper body movements. Mayweather used all of these, and is still not given credit. Obviously, they expected him to take the punches on his chin only, as their Philipino boy does. Otherwise, the boxer is running. Again, Pacquiao fans are completely delusional. I believed that Pacquiao himself is fine, but as it was shown by his behaviour before and after the fight, he is just the same delusional.
Pac didn't want to go for broke. That's what I saw. Pac saw the right hand ready to fire and was thinking twice. Going out on your shield sounds all heroic, poetic, and great...... Until it's you who is the one that is supposed to do it. Once Pac started second guessing himself, worrying about those right hands, it turned into a lot of feint and bait, and he was never going to win that battle. As the fight progressed, Mayweather started to slow Pac down and land a wider array of punches. I also thought the fact Pacquiao couldn't follow up anything after he did catch Mayweather with a good shot was frustrating for him. Manny quickly found out that Mayweather isn't as easy to hit as he believed, and when he shelled, Manny was expending energy for very little in return. Honestly, I wish these fights were still 15 rounds. And so much for Floyd's legs being shot......
He did run, not all the time but towards the end of the fight he just ran and ran and ran. You can't deny it. It's on tape! I'm not saying he ran all fight but in the last 6 rounds he ran a lot. You can say it's smart but it's also boring.
