EXACTLY! Manny was supposed to hurt Floyd. Manny was supposed to KO him. Manny's aggression was drained out of him courtesy of Floyd in the early rounds. The game plan was almost flawless by Floyd's side.

You punch a bully in the mouth and he backs off quickly. Pac lost any confidence he had by round 2.

I mean it's honestly amazing these people really saying he didn't run away. That's how delusional they are. Anyone can see it clear as day. And Floyd said he's better than Muhammad Ali. What disrespect to the sport of boxing.

Floyd ran away from Pac-Man since 2009, and when Pac finally got him in a ring, Floyd ran some more. You know what they say, you can run but you can't hide Floyd! :bbb

You can run but you can't hide from Maidana, Castillo, Judah ... but Manny couldn't find Floyd. Was Manny the 8 division, FOTD, the fighting pride of the sahara in the ring last night?

There was no "running". The ones who said there was just are not very intelligent and/or don't know anything about boxing.

I'm being objective and honest here. I really didn't see any running. If he did run I would say it.

The fact that Mayweather landed more tells me he was more effective regardless of whether he was moving (or runnining as you might call it) or not. Pacquiao had to force the fight. Mayweather fights all his fights the same way.

    Absolutely.

To add to that though, Pacquiao is a 15+ year vet, you'd think he know how the cut off the ring at least.

    But post the gifs.

There was no "running", there was great movement and plenty of times Mayweather stood his ground, actually walked forward.

The "running" accusation comes from the fact when Pacquiao tried to open up with combinations Mayweather moved
Pacquiao, Roach and their fans were left frustrated, confused and slightly embarrassed by the difference in ability.

So what then? They have no real excuses, so they have to invent some so we get the "running" and "shoulder injury".

Sad thing is I actually wanted Pacquiao to win, he didn't, was well beaten but the excuses I've seen on these boards are ridiculous.
Pacquiao fans were constantly typing #noexcuses but have done nothing but make them since the final bell.

Pacquiao and Roach embarrassed themselves by claiming they thought they won and then blamed injuries and Pacquiao fans have done the same.

It's over, finished, Mayweather is the better boxer, they can whine, moan and cry but it isn't going to change that fact.

You didn't see running because you actually understand boxing. It takes a casual/biased fan to render that excuse.

If Mayweather was running from Pacquiaos aggression and puches I would agree, but he was just moving around the ring and forcing Pac to follow him. Whenever Pac threw combos he would stand with his guard up. He made Pacs offence ineffective.

Yes there was no running in this fight. Mayweather was usually just out of Pac's range for most of the fight, he never ran from Pac he just controlled the distance perfectly. He did clinch a bit too much in the first 3 rounds but he even kept that to a minimum for the rest of the fight.

Lara against Canelo was running, constantly moving out of range to even land a counter.
