Well boxing_master, did you really need to make an alt account to post that drivel?

Face it, Floyd beat your guy last night, did so in a clear enough manner as to not warrant a rematch, and has sealed his fate as the UNDISPUTED best fighter of his generation.

Take a break, relax, and move on with your life.

It's like claiming the moon is a hologram and then being put on a rocket and flown to the moon and coming back and saying the rocket was a mocked up thing with projection screens and how They shook the thing to make it seem like it was blasting off and soaring through space and it was all done in a big dark warehouse they were sealed in for days. Then claiming the moon they landed on was an adjacent set which they'd built in a cooled gigantic refrigerated set and were somehow lifted down onto. Logic is not an option.

The bottom line is that this is not the fight game anymore.

It is the overly-commercialised, money-making, PPV-focussed, theatrical, scripted, non-fight game...

It's become a joke. From the mob fixing fights with Lamotta to Ali we have now progressed to to this. From Klitschko's fights in Germany against human heavy bags to David Haye's infamous "NOW" to Audley Harrison (an old friend) before knocking him out, to last night's fight, it is getting worse and worse. Al Haymon and other promoters since Don King, have robbed the sport of it's rich history and torn it's heart away at the same time. It is now purely business. With people like that at the helm, in everyones pockets, with backhanders flying about everywhere, say goodbye to ever witnessing the trilogies of old, the four-way duels and rivalries or the true champ who take on all comers. Sure- the Bob Arums of the world etc., are bad as well but nothing compared to the faceless puppetmasters of recent times.

Floyd's chess @nalogy at the post-presser was intriguing. If Mayweather is King, Al Haymon is controlling all the pieces. The Queen, Bishop, and Knights would be commissions, businesses (venues, networks etc.) and officials. Pawns are everyone from the Alex Arizas to the Leonard Ellerbes... Marginal advantages add up. In and out of the ring. Not allowing Pacquiao an injection for his shoulder is just the icing on the cake. USADA testing is a whole other issue, particularly if you are aware of their pro-Money Team CEO.

It must be said, however that Floyd conducted himself a gentleman throughout. He was almost candid in explaining how he has succeeded in his post-fight presser. He is a businessman and fought last night's fight like a businessman. He ran and ran and ran. He did not engage. But Pacquiao should have done better. There is only so much you can do when someone doesn't want to fight. As a long time boxing fan, I am confident in saying a large part of fans are fed up with Floyd's style of boxing. Once he has achieved what he plans to and does, as I expect he will, good riddance to him. Take your money-worshipping team and ride off into the sunset. Take Al Haymon with you and let boxing recover.

Before closing this rant, I am fully aware that this is the nature of the beast before someone reminds me of this valid point. Basic economics will tell you that where you have great sources of income and wealth, you will have elements of coercion, negative externalities and other 'invisible hands' dictating proceedings. It is just a shame that this is now crystal clear in what was once the beautiful, artistic, rough rustic, dirty, fair fight game.

Cries of "butthurt" I am sure await but, as a long time member of this forum, I have faith some will find common ground and agreement. Please share your thoughts whilst I try and to regain composure post-rant.

It is embarrassing, most of them were typing #noexcuses for weeks and as soon as the final bell rang they were on here making them and still haven't stopped.

I can only assume they are young, probably teenagers, the point blank refusal to give Mayweather any credit, the ridiculous excuses and the fact they say Pacquiao actually won has to be a age thing... stroppy, spoilt little teenagers who just can't accept they got it wrong... And badly wrong.

Oh contraire. Check out Skip Bayless' twitter account. It's embarrassing and ESPN should be ashamed of themselves for employing such a moron.

Pacquiao lost the biggest fight of his career, the highest grossing fight in boxing HISTORY, and was made to look average. Floyd has proven his superiority over Manny and gapped him on the ATGs list. He held Manny to 81 punches landed in a 12 round bout, FFS. Straight embarrassed him!

Emotionally, it's all too much for them to handle. Delusion keeps them off the ledge.

it was a double whammy. combos of one is juiced up to the gills the other no peds and getting blood drained non stop in training camp. im not even going into pac;s size disadvantage or him might be injured.

floyd would have his stamina severely affected or even broke his brittlehands loading up on pac early if not on the juice. where he couldnt run for half the fight, this guy ran the whole fight. floyd looke d like energizer bunny in there by his standards.

couldnt even clinched or run in the first fight against a caveman, now ran like a kangaroo.

pac would have the juiced up floyd doing the twerk like in the mosley fight if he was at 100pct.

that counter pac landed in the fourth is similar to the one he landed on mosley and mosley was also juiced up and had the better chin than floyd.

at even playing field, pac would have taken out floyd in that round or the next.

pac could not sustain it, and was concerned of punching out. i knew it when he inexplicably backed off when floyd was there totally covering and body exposed.

even then weaker, smaller, who might be injured vs. a guy on the juice, bigger , stronger, faster with judges in his pockets, pac still won, not by dominant fashion though.

i think pac's dominance in the past worked against him. against bradley and agaisnt floyd now. like he isnt allowed to box.

Read it all before you comment, please. Just try to hear me out.

I'm horrified at the injury excuse, but I may give him the benefit of the doubt to at least somewhat justify his **** poor performance.

It's true there was a time in training camp where Manny quit training and didn't spar. I had people who ran with him telling me that he hadn't shadow-boxed for two weeks. They figured it was because Manny wanted to hide his speed from Floyd. Then news came out he was skipping sparring and sometimes training all together, and it all happened consecutively. Reason given was because they didn't want Manny to peak too soon. That seemed weird to me already because it's not like he trained early. How do you peak early if you had a shorter amount of time to train than usual? But, I just accepted it.

Now, fight night, Manny throws ONE RIGHT HOOK. And that is meant to be taken literally. Only one. It was in the fourth round about halfway through. Then, he is extremely unaggressive. In fact, he wasn't aggressive at all. He didn't throw his jab, cross, or hook. It appeared to me he truly was just trying to land the left all night, and only the left. Live, I was freaking out it was getting to the point of not even being competitive. Floyd was landing clean shots, but Manny never looked hurt. That's honest. Floyd imposed his size this one time and pushed Manny into the ropes, but Manny never looked hurt. I can honestly say that.

Post fight, Manny says these things.

On why he was so unaggressive, "I'm hesitant to be more aggressive because I only have one (arm) because my right hand for pain and only left hand I can use."

On Floyd's power, "He wasn't strong like my other opponent's, Cotto, Margarito, and others... I hurt him many times, but he didn't hurt me."

I mean, I'm looking at it... it's 100% true his training did get really weird and suspiciously inactive 2 weeks ago. It's 100% true Manny never appeared truly hurt in the fight. It's 100% true he rarely used his right arm. It's 100% true that it looked like he was just trying to land the left. And if he's coming out of the fight saying Floyd didn't hurt him, wasn't strong, and that his shoulder inhibited him, could it be possible that Manny was just being 100% honest? Especially looking at the fight and training camp evidence?

And to be real, how horrible will it be if it turns out it is true and Manny has to get surgery. Then, that only ruins the Fight of The Century more. Because it then does discredit the fight in little ways because Manny Pacquiao truly was seriously injured. Only raises more questions, and could leave an asterisk. "What if Floyd fought Manny when he wasn't seriously injured."

The one of the two worst scenarios for the fight for me was someone being injured. So, if it's true, then screw everything. I still remain with my questions from before.

This is why I want to see a rematch, to see if Manny is telling the truth and comes out looking more like himself or if he's just blowing smoke. And if he is, Mayweather can whoop his a$$ a second time while getting another 9 figure payday... and embarrass Pacquiao even more, lol.

Now, I still think Floyd would win a second time. But if the injury is true, which to me the facts point to yes more than no, then I think we could at least see a more competitive fight that'll make up for what we saw yesterday.
