Mayweather has went the distance 18 times. Here is a list of the 10 opponents with fewest number of punches landed against Mayweather:

    69 -- JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ (9/19/2009)
    79 -- CARLOS BALDOMIR (11/4/2006)
    79 -- VICTORIANO SOSA (4/19/2003)
    81 -- MANNY PACQUIAO (5/2/2014)
    89 -- ZAB JUDAH (4/8/2006)
    92 -- SHANE MOSLEY (5/1/2010)
    105 -- MIGUEL COTTO (5/5/2012)
    113 -- ROBERT GUERRERO (5/4/2013)
    117 -- SAUL ALVAREZ (9/14/13)
    122 -- OSCAR DE LA HOYA (5/5/2007)

This goes to show just what a tremendous defensive fighter Mayweather is. At least 7 of these guys are pretty good offensive fighters. 5 or 6 of them are in the HOF or are headed for the HOF. Pacquiao is considered one of the best offensive fighters of this era, and yet he landed only 2 more punches than the slow, plodding Baldomir.

Pac fans were asking if Floyd was better than any of Pac's opponents like the clowns usually do. Should we be asking if Manny is better than Floyd's opponents based on these numbers?

That's especially embarrassing considering of all those fighters Pacquiao probably has the highest punch output, and Mayweather is way past his prime and according to the Roach, Mayweather has no legs.

Floyds defense was the star of the show, it was exceptional against Pacquiao. It wasn't just clinching and moving. Floyd rolled, leaned, dodged, blocked, bobbed , weaved. Manny definitely was frustrated from the first round on. The accurate counter punches just makes fighting that much more complicated. Even when Manny threw flurries Floyd never took his eyes off his opponent, dude studies every movement

Can we please at least not be biased on this. If you wanna look at numbers you gotta look at both sides here. Mayweather landed less than 150 punches, which is a statistical low for him.

Ironically does that make Pacquiao the best defensive fighter Floyd has ever faced?

    Wow.

So the man who many thought could decapitate Floyd or would at least be his biggest ever threat lands at a historically low percentage...?

    Lol!

Like I said, Floyd made him look like a Golden Gloves competitor.

Pac fans actually created threads that questioned whether Floyd was better than any of Pac's opponent. They kept bring up Baldomir. Baldomir did almost as well as Pacquiao against Floyd. :deal

Correction it was 26% against Cotto. However he still landed more on Cotto! He landed 179 against Cotto, with 128 (34%) of them being power shots.

So in the end Pacquiao still took less damage, less shots....which means he is the best defensive fighter Floyd has ever faced...ironically.

And this has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that this is by far the most tentative FMJ that you've seen?
He was reacting in almost every feint that Pac threw.
And since you are all probably watching on a ugly ass stream, you didn't catch it when Sr was trashing FMJ on the corner with **** like "What the hell is wrong with you?!" and "You are fighting like you're scared!".
There were countless opportunities for FMJ to throw his right straight or jab, but damn he was too scared of that left.

Can't blame FMJ though, this punch:

    Sent him back to childhood.
And it took him 10 rounds before finally coming forward.
Yes indeed that Mayweather was fierce and was close to KO-ing Pacquiao.
    Sure fl0mos. Sure.

If taking nearly an extra 50 shots counts as being just as good....I can only imagine what being bad would be like too you.

Floyd actually threw more than a 100 less punches in his previous fight against Maidana. On the flip side, this was Pacquiao's lowest output in a 12 round fight by more than 100 punches.

Manny Pacquiao was gunshy, afraid to throw and didn't engage

Cotto did more damage to Floyd than Pac did, it's not close. :rofl

Manny also landed jack, he was landing on gloves pretty much the entire evening and eating up those straight rights. :hey
