    Floyd was scared...

    *Sigh*

    Those moral victories. Stay pressed.

Floyd covered more miles last night than a runner does in a marathon. Run, run, run.

    Tentative. Not scared.
    Both of them were.
I can name countless instances as well that the old Pac would've thrown a right hook counter as Mayweather lunges in for the body.
Or thrown a counter left above the jab.
    Or a lead left.
Pac didn't. But I've already seen that in Pac-Bradley 2.
This is a first for Mayweather.

If you can't see how tentative Mayweather was in that ring and it took him 10 rounds to finally come forward (as he should've been doing, Pac had ZERO answers to his looping right around the high guard), then you're sh%tting yourself.

You cant just throw punches at floyd becuase you leave yourself exposed. Manny was very selective last night for fear of a counter.

Cotto landed 105 punches of which 75 (23% of his total output) were power punches. And Pac landed 81 of which 63 (15% of total output) were power punches. So its not even close??? Despite the fact that Cotto landed only 12 extra power shots, and the rest were jabs.

And according to you Manny was eating those straight rights, yet got hit with 47 less power shots. So what does that make Cotto??? He must have pulled a rocky and tried blocking those punches with this face!

He was aware of the traps.
And it showed that he did his homework.
Mayweather barely landed his check hooks.
    It was always blocked.

Also he had the stupid game plan of countering May.
No idea why Roach thought that putting all their eggs in that basket would work.

You might want to watch the fight again. Mayweather landed plenty of check hooks throughout the fight.

    No he didn't.
Manny blocked it with his right hand on the side of his face or rolled with it or it will hit Manny on the back of the head.
It was his short straight right thrown while on the corner that kept Manny honest, not the signature sneaky check left hook of his.

There are things you can't see on a lousy computer stream.

    Here, see for yourself:

It was more like a push most of the times to keep Manny off balanced than a hook.

Cotto engaged and landed good power shots and landed good jabs although he did take some himself

Manny was gunshy and didn't do anything.

    What a horrible showing.

Why you would defend it, is really mind blowing. :-(

Pac's horrible performance is not even worth saving. :rofl
What I'm trying to center in is that Pac presented so many opportunities for Floyd to either counter or walk him down (like how he beautifully did in round 11 I think), BUT HE DIDN'T.
And unlike against Cotto and Maidana, he did made those two pay for every single mistake that they did. Almost.
    Not the same for Pac.
It was evident that he knows Pac has the speed and power to keep him at bay as well.

Yes Cotto engaged, made it a fight, and ultimately showed that he really wanted to win. And I respect him for it. But again, we have to look at BOTH sides of the equation. Cotto was busted, bruised, tired, and was almost dropped and on his way out by the end of the fight. Where as Pacquiao looked like he just had a bad sparring session rather than get his ass kicked.

Yes it was a boring fight, but saying it was a horrible showing by Manny is too harsh. He got the best highlights of the fights and landed some decent punches when he let his hands go.

But what I'm just saying is that we should at least credit Manny for being the best defensive fighter against Floyd since dropped Floyd's accuracy and punches landed. Like the guy in the previous post said, Manny avoided a bunch of Floyd's check left hooks and limited his mistakes...thus not allowing Floyd to land much. Granted this also possibly led to his defeat since it lowered his offense....but what else you want him to do?

Except, against those other fighters, Floyd did a lot more offensively. Easy to do it to Pac when you barely land **** yourself, especially anything of note. He landed much, much more against every one of the other fighters listed there. Terrible comparison.

Floyd is an all time great. Not the greatest ever, but one of them. History will remember his legacy in the ring fondly.

That flurry Manny does at 0:29 is hilarious. He stops because he knows he ain't hitting nothing and he doesn't wanna punch himself out. Then Floyd looks up at 0:36 and looks like he's saying, "you done?"
