That is because you do not understand what you are watching. Manny could have sold out and went for it. Manny "chose" not too. The reason for his decision was Manny was worried about being countered.

Pacquiao was the fighter down on the cards. Manny is the guy who needs to take risks, not the guy who is ahead while safely and easily out boxing Manny.

Reality: either Manny wasn't good enough to force the action on Mayweather or Manny chose not to because he was worried about what was coming back at him. I choose the 2nd option. Guys who have really made Floyd fight have taken punches to do so. Manny was not willing to pay the price.

What makes Marquez's and Mayweather's near the same stratosphere as Morales'?

That was Pacquiao at his his best.

Pac was a one handed fighter when he loss to Morales. He also had a blood test and wore the wrong socks, oh and Morales made him wear pillow gloves remember?

The man Morales beat was coming off his knockout victory over Marco Antonio Barrera.

Which is by far his biggest win of his career.

This is the problem, before the fight started fans and media outlets had Pac losing by 4 rounds, the first 6 rounds I had Pac 4-2 up, when I heard the unofficial scorecards I was like wtf... Floyds done nothing except get forced on the back foot by a much smaller man.
I can't remember how i had the cards after that but at the end I had Pac winning by 2, i couldn't make a case for Floyd and in the close rounds which there were a lot I rewarded the aggression, the fighter looking to fight, maybe others rewarded the one looking not to get hit, but you have to hit in that case.

It was a bad fight, Pac did fight differently with his shoulder injury you can understand more now, but also I think he didn't want to get timed so he fought a smart fight. I believe if the roles were reversed and Pac did what Floyd did, Floyd did what Pac did everyone would be saying Floyd won. It's very hard to displace someone who is backed so heavily by the media, even in Maidana 1 I had him losing yet somehow the cards were dreadful then too.

I can't make a case for someone even being more talented when they did nothing, he did land crisp shots in very few rounds because he caught Pac flat footed, maybe 3 of the 12 rounds, but after 1 or 2 like that he didn't do anything else and even got rocked harder himself. There is a fantasy train Floyd is riding and with the media backing it zombie minds are climbing onboard to support it. It's disgusting when you look at the greats of the past and think if they would even win fighting like this or if the judges would punish these displays.

Not a huge Floyd fan however manny did absolutely nothing and looked clueless in the process all these years and yet still can't cut off the ring lunging in basically being outclassed on every level. You have to love the racial undertone and not so hidden agenda being spewed from some posters on here regarding this fight its so unnecessary.

Carlos Baldomir is at Pac's level. That's all that matters.

So it's ok that Morales didn't let him wear his beloved horse hair Reyes gloves? I remember Floyd being called all kind of "names" when he disputed those same gloves. Are you willing to admit you are a tad biased?

I've never said anything about the gloves.

Manny wasn't going to deck Morales. period.

Morales had one of the greatest chins in the history of boxing at his best.
