I know, which is why I'm saying I don't want to see people claiming "Pac is a warrior" any longer. That ship has sailed. Dude was exposed, and was "content with taking a loss."

No "warrior" in boxing is content with taking a loss and collecting a check. They go for it.

Clean and HARD punching. No, I don't think Manny necessarly won based on this criteria but neither did Floyd.

Floyd landed more power shots, more jabs..... He landed "more punches." Manny landed like what? 3 meaningful left hands all night? Manny was literally controlled 90% of the night.

And there are 3 other categories: not just clean punching. Floyd won them all in the majority of the rounds.

Manny didn't do anything in there.

Canelo took a way worse beating and none of his punches had the effect of making Floyd retreat to the ropes and shell up and fight negatively. Floyd was the clear aggressor in that fight, thus why he might have gotten hit more, but I promise you he landed WAY more shots on Canelo than he did on Manny, or, if the numbers were close, were much, much more committed and damaging. Canelo got messed up in that fight and Floyd made the fight. No one got messed up in this fight and both were to blame: Floyd fought as negatively as possible, Manny just couldn't understand how to overcome the range and sat there like a moron. Terrible.

a lot of ****ysis seems biased. never considered why pac only threw as much. he suffered injury so he was often tentative to attack hence the right arm was seldom used. that was not a good fight to raise the sport. a lot of issues came up pre-fight that was covered just to make the fight because of money. the best p4p boxer had all the advantages but never dominated so majority who follow the sport doesn't consider it a good win and some even downgraded floyd in rankings for a poor performance.

No he took Pacquiao to school. He made a great fighter look ordianry that pretty much says it all. Who has done to Pac was Floyd just did?
No one.. Juan didn't look this good against Pac no one has.
    Long live the king!

As I feared, it was Duran Leonard III where Leonard just kept the range and Duran was listless, lackadaisical, and clueless. Would have been more exciting if both were younger, for sure.

Juan looked WAY better against Pac in the third fight even though he got hit more ... at no point in the third fight was Juan shook, hurt, or backed against the ropes and actually fought him. Juan actually won rounds BIG on occasion instead of just by landing a few more shots and limiting engagement. Pac's defense is miles better against Floyd than it was against JMM, where he got hit all the time cleanly.

Pac landed two shots. They weren't even that hard. Were they like the shots Mosley landed? NO. Like Maidana landed? DEFINITELY NO! Floyd covered up on one and Roy said it, "Pac is going to punch himself out". Pac was ineffectively hitting Floyd's arms and he backed off.

The meaningful hard punches landed in the first round! That set the tone of the fight. It stopped Pac and Roach's game plan. Pac went OH SHEEET, what was that!?

It wasn't the punches in round one, it was the footwork where he had to reach and over extend every single time because Floyd was just that little bit longer. He always felt exposed when he attacked because his shots didn't reach - he wasn't thinking about those two hard shots, he was thinking, I can't reach him, ever.

    He schooled him.

The fact that Mayweather controlled pacquaio so easily just by using distance says all you need to know about how easy it was for Floyd.

I don't see why Pacquiao fans just can't admit that your boy got taught a lesson. Manny wasn't the first fighter to realise that talking is one thing but once in the ring with Mayweather it's totally different.

Can't shake off a feeling that there were something rotten about that fight. Floyd has been taught how to win a boxing match, but in my view Pacquiao was the better fighter.

Even if Maywheater was the winner of the fight, he didn't deserve it, just stood there with his defensive skills and philly shell, and safely got enough points to win the match. Maybe there is something wrong with boxing, it is all about the money, and there is no heart or soul in it all... that fight was a scam!

Guys, it's that what professional boxing is all about ? Controlling distance, moving, dodging, set the rhythm, etc. etc. ??
Yeah, all those things are important to LAND SOME HARD AND CLEAR SHOTS IN YOUR OPPONENT'S FACE. THAT'S BOXING.
It's like saying in soccer that yeah, we did everything right but we only managed to score once. But we totally schooled the other team :patsch
