you obviously didn't watch the fight. Re-watch it carefully and then come back to me.

how many rounds did floyd win by just running and throwing soft jabs? 3-4? he didn't much but that's how he wins.

The problem is that every Floyd opponent has the burden of doing something special. Any round that is close, goes to Floyd; any round where there is inactivity, goes to Floyd; any round where floyd lands bigger shots, goes to Floyd. So how can an opponent beat him? They have to land big shots to win rounds. Anything else, even when Floyd does nothing, is not enough. What has become a problem for opponents is that judges are scared to give him his first loss. The opponent has to really do something special to win rounds. Pacquiao won round 4 but he had to hurt Floyd with that left and unleash a flurry. The problem is, Floyd is hard to hit so if you can't land big shots, you lose. You cannot beat Floyd Mayweather even when Floyd Mayweather does very little, or nothing, UNLESS you land big shots. Think about this for a minute, realize what a task this is? This is why he's undefeated, you have to do so much more that him to win. Judges WILL not award Floyd his first loss unless the opponent hits him big, period.

Not a narrative that some of the sore losers on here will be able to acknowledge. Aside from a few flurries he was able to get off, Pacquiao really didn't do anything. He fought too cautious, probably because he was worried about eating a jab or straight right coming in. He wasn't able to effectively cut off the ring, as Mayweather was able to turn off the ropes on multiple occasions. And most importantly, no sense of urgency in the championship rounds when it became obvious Mayweather was leading on the scorecards.

With the exception of a couple of rounds, the fight was a one sided affair. How could this not be a snooze fest? There was no drama, no back and forth, no opponent in the ring Saturday night that could contest Mayweather.

Yeah see the thing is, those rounds Floyd won while he was doing very little? Manny did even less, unless you simply want him to credit for moving his feet forward regardless of landing anything. For some reason you think it's Floyd and the judges' fault that he can win rounds on cruise control, rather than the responsibility of the opponent to either take him out of cruise control or punish him for it.

Everybody knows how Mayweather fights, everybody is aware of his immaculate technique and point scoring cautious approach. When you get him in the trenches, you see the rest of his ability, it's up to the other guy to rattle him and bring the best out of him or he will coast, time and time again he says 'I work smarter' and 'I don't agree with taking punishment'. He also brings out his gem 'I did it for the fans doe' when someone challenges him but he also admits he gets the dog brought out of him and has to dig deeper. Everybody knows how Mayweather fights so don't cry about how boring he made it as if you expected him to swing and take shots in the most dangerous fight of his life.

Manny wasn't willing to walk through fire to make a fight of it. Period. End of story. Totally exposed.

Marcos Maidana and Ricky Hatton walked through fire, and were willing to take the punishment required to make a fight of it with Mayweather. Floyd is the superior boxer, he's going to snipe you from the outside if he's able. That's what he does. It's up to Manny to make him fight a different style and change his game plan.

The entire hype around Manny was that he was going to bring it to Floyd and Floyd couldn't stop him. Do you want us to bump all your BS posts for you since you've clearly forgot?

Manny, and has idiotic fans, have been exposed as total frauds. In the VERY FIRST ROUND, when Manny got a taste of those right hands (and later in the fight the check left hooks), he didn't like them. There was no "reckless aggression" because he knew such a strategy could get him seriously hurt.

So he took the easy route, tried to out box Mayweather and look for the big shot. LIKE MANY OTHER OPPONENTS HAVE DONE BEFORE HIM. He sold out, collected his check, and said thank you very much.

You fans cashed checks with Manny's chin, that he wasn't willing to cash. LOL :deal

Let's blame the guy that fell into Mayweather's fight, failed to dictate the pace and cut off the ring. Zab Judah did better!!

Also did you or did you not see the amount of pitiful punches Pacman landed? It was embarrassing, 19%... I am a colossal Pacquiao fan and of course prefer his exciting duels but I appreciate Mayweather's philosophy even if I enjoy seeing him in the trenches and actually fighting more than a cakewalk.

If you land nearly twice as many shots as your opponent, you're boxing not running. In the dlh vs Trinidad example that the op provided dlh ran those last few rounds. He didn't throw punches at alL.

In the majority of the rounds of this fought Floyd was throwing. He was landing jabs right through the gaurd, clean right hands and even started mixing in hooks towards the end.

You say he wasn't hurting Pacquiao but Pacquiao wasn't really hurting him either. He stunned him in the 4th and again later on and those rounds were rightfully scored for Pacquiao but you can't give a guy a round just for walking forward and you can't rob a guy of a round for not agreeing to fight his opponents fight and become a punching bag.

Let me guess, 'your' generation of boxing fans is into club fighters and bar room tough guys who block punches with their face. Not touch and get touched.
