    Nothing, really.

Went about how I thought it would minus the knockout that I predicted.

Knew it was going to be a schooling from day 1.

Pac never had the talent to match with May, never did and never will.

What honestly shocked me was how slow Manny looked. What else shocked me was the complete lack of ideas came from team Pac. It took very very little time for Manny and Freddie Roach to see they wernt guna get very far fighting like they started.

The other thing that shocks me is that other people are shocked and bothered by Floyd hugging and running so much. Its what he does.

I disagree with you on many points. As I said in another thread you're looking at the trees instead of the forest. Floyd dominated that fight not with stats but by controlling Pac, and waiting to counter and use calculated right hand leads. The game plan was obviously to exploit the counters that Bradley, JMM and others used against Pac AND to nullify Pac's power by forcing to him to reset with movement. A brilliant game plan predicated on Pac bringing the fight to Floyd. Pac didn't bring anything. He didn't bring the volume, the angles, the ferocity. Sad really. I wanted to see a Floyd counter resulting in at least a KD.

More importantly, you can bring up percentages. Pac landed hardly anything except a few shots that were sensationalized by the pro-Pacquiao crowd. Sure Pac landed some but they weren't nearly as hard as what Maidana landed. Far from it. Floyd landed many more effective shots which disrupted Pac's tempo culminating in a WIDE UD.

Nice try on driving the point about the right hand. Obviously leading to something.

    1. Manny's punch output
    2. Floyd's speed (especially after seeing his fights with Maidana)
    3. the sour excuses coming from Pac's camp (I've never heard Pac complaining about a fight before)

Mannys stats are obvious. Floyd's are not.

It did appear Floyd was keeping manny off with the right hand, yet manny said Floyd's power wasn't strong and never hurt him. If that's the case, then why was he so hesitant. I just hated the fight. They both didn't look like the fighters I've grown to love and watch.

Exactly, Mayweather's defense and counter punching gets his opponents thinking. So much so that it makes them throw fewer punches and slows them down.

Manny also thought he won! He didn't give any credit to Floyd at all. That was Broneresque but of course he won't get grilled for it. Dishonorable IMHO as professional boxer (nothing personal). I have always respected Manny, despite my trolling, he was 26th on my ATG list right below Floyd at 25. I moved him down to 27th after the fight because it was much more of a mismatch than I anticipated.

What shocked me was the amount of jabs landed for Floyd- 63. He beat Pac with a jab.

Mayweather clearly was able to hit Manny with whatever punch he wanted, but he didn't press the gas. It made zero sense to me.

Yea I wish he was a little more offensive. Sr. kept telling him to throw the right hook and I agree, that punch would've been very effective.

Nothing. Although I expected Pac to win as different scenarios could have played out, I've also said many times in this forum Floyd could shut out Pac if he ran and clinched everytime Pac got in, which is exactly what happened.

Pac's low punch output is due to out of range, if you're out of range and throw a punch, you miss and get countered, so you dont throw, instead you try to make your way inside. When Pac finally gets inside Floyd ties him up (which is illegal) so what can be done? Nothing, Floyd forces you to lay his own game, potshot game, and with his 5" reach advantage and superior boxing skills, nobody beating him at that.

If anything surprised me, its how much Pac countered Floyd with the left, didn't expect that, I expected him to overwhelme him with punches from awkward angles in rapid fire, not single shot counters.

Credit to Floyd, he's unbeatable right now, he can go up to 50-0 no problem and H2H I rate him one of the best ever. Only guy around his weight class I would favour over him is Hearns and given Hearns difficulty with Benitez, I'm not even sure.

That said I think in close rounds, points should be awarded to the aggressor. The guy coming forward is the one looking to fight, if both backpedal there would be no match, it would be a dancing contest, so credit to the aggressor. Also when coming forward, you put yourself in the line of fire, its a lot easier to get hit less moving back than going forward, just facts. It use to be the case that you would lose the round for running, ala ODLH-Trinidad.

With the current rules of boxing, scoring for runners and allowing clinching so much, Mayweathers style is almost hack. I can't see anyone beating him.

I was surprised seeing the BK King in Mayweather's entourage and Jamie Foxx's horrible rendition of the U.S. National Anthem.

Mostly I was surprised at Roach's horrible game plan and the excuses. I'm also surprised fans were shocked with Mayweather's defensive approach. After 47 fights it should be obvious to fans now that Mayweather would fight defensively.

Manny's lack of aggression and lack of effort to win the fight except for the 4th and 6th rounds, he lacked the will to win.

two atg's both fighting very cautiously resulting in a very dull competition.
