Is floyd a volume puncher ?

From what I've read from pro boxing ****yst on here such as boxing_master, Pacquiao punch output, speed & power would make Pac the better candidate to beat floyd ...

However, what happened was that Floyd was faster, stronger & punched more than pac !

Can anyone explain this to me ?

Manny has aged horribly and is a congressman. Probably all you need to know. Mayweather is pretty ageless. Some fighters lose it quicker than others.

Mayweather is also older, what happened to ''his legs are shot'' blablabla ?

Pacquiao is only good against stationnary targets isn't he ?

Hence why that win over margarito really wasn't that great. A slow fighter who blocks punches with his face.

Margarito didn't have that much power to begin with, I didn't watch any of his fights live, because I wasn't that much of a fan back than, but from what I've seen on youtube he was a slow as **** fighter ahah

I have yet to see the fight, but I would guess that Pacquiao was leary at what was coming back at him. When you're as quick on the trigger as Mayweather is, fighters go defensive as opposed to letting their hands go.
That and Mayweather keeping Pacquiao away from punching distance as was easy to predict in this fight are the reasons.

Pacquiao was gunshy after eating some right hand, you can see him rotating when Mayweather tried to hook him a couple of time ... never tho i'd see the day where pac was gunshy, he took on harder punchers.

I would agree with Grizbear - Pac has aged badly and has his style to blame for it, exciting as it is for the fans its not too great for him...

Mayweather is and always has been a freak athlete, of course hindsight is a beautiful thing!! but in that sense, this was always what would happen i guess.

Because he was in range to throw the punch and he had to keep Pac off him. You have 5" reach advantage you better be throwing more punches. And when Pac finally got in, he tied him up.

Marg had a hell of a lot power. incredible stamina and an iron chin. But yes he was slow.

Look at Pacquiao's 3rd fight with Marquez, though Pacquiao was moving his hands to punch, there was little to know leverage behind his punches and it was exactly because every time he commited to throw a hard straight left hand, he'd get hammered by Marquez.
Marquez reduced Pacquiao to throwing arm punches.

Fighters on the level of Pacquiao are'nt afraid of power when its coming vs much slower fighters. The punch you see coming you can defend against, but the punch thats quick and cat like, you have to be on the alert and defensive minded to limit its effectiveness.

Pacquiao's always been elusive to avoid big shots from big slow punchers, but its alltogether another story against speed and quickness.
That he'd be gunshy vs Mayweather was'nt so hard to predict.
