If they fought in Macau or some other out of country site then perhaps the location change could reignite some mainstream interest.

It would take some additional production value, though because the 'in-ring' expectation just wouldn't be enough to reenergize the masses.

Floyd also would likely have to resort to his old trash talkin' persona.

You need to start accepting the fact that maybe Pacman is just starting to look his age. Did that notion ever pop into your head? He looked slower than FLoyd Saturday night. Last time I checked, the shoulder isn't located by his legs.

he didn't look slower. If two fighters are of equal speed but one is longer and taller, the shorter one will have a hard time closing the distance; he has to work twice as hard. Pac looked quite quick, oftentimes he was able to chase Floyd down, with relative ease. The problem was tactics, IMO. He was always trying to bait Floyd into throwing first, Floyd didn't take the bait. Just watch the fight again and see that Pac looked quick quick..

problem is will the tear/rotator require surgery. that could take too much time for a rematch to happen.

He fought last November and was on his toes the entire fight. Did you not watch it? Did it ever cross your mind to use reason? Pac looked way too heavy. If he was on his toes 6 months ago and he came in 152 on fight night. Which is the more probable reason to why he was flat footed? Come on, let's use our head.

Oh, he most certainly did, especially foot speed (and in the first 2-3 rounds, his hand speed didn't look so hot either, but that picked up once he was properly warmed).

No opponent leaps out for Floyd

I'd be ok with it as long as they don't **** us on price

I think he has too if he wants to continue. Yes surgery carries a risk, but without it he will always have a slight discomfort everytime he goes into a fight, and thus won't be at his full potential.

What really matters is the recovery period. If Pac has surgery, does rehab, and is good in a few months then it all went well. But if he still complaining after 6 months....its over! Just look at Sergio Martinez after his knee injury with Murray, and he still complaining up to this day. Or Marquez who also hasn't healed since his last fight with Alvarado.

    Age ???
As we get older our ligaments, tendons, and muscles slowly start to lose their integrety --- injury or no injury.
Surgery or rehab --- as we get older the fix will never be the same.
    Functionable --- yes.
And the risk increases for other injuries.
The workouts you do now may not standup to the intensity when you were younger.
Everybody is not the same, except that everyone ages.

I remember when Mayweather stepped to Pac's outside to land a straight right and Pac footwork was so quick to put his foot on the outside angle while May was throwing and he landed a counter down the pipe. Their feet are so fast. I still did think Pac looked more flat-footed than usual. His footwork could have been much better.
