Keith Thurman is a 5'7.5 27 year old Welterweight with a 27-0 22 KO's record. Born and raised and fighting out of Clearwater, Florida. Since he's a fellow Floridian and has long hair like me and he stood out I've been closely following the career of One Time since his fights with Hartman, Hoskins and Lora and when I first saw him I was very impressed, but I didn't go crazy and declare him the next big thing yet because they were all essentially tin cans. Then came the Quintana match, which impressed a lot of people, yet still he didn't take him out as brutally as Paul Williams in their second match a few years before, the Zaveck match followed and he wasn't nearly as dominant as Berto was the year before, so I've been hesitant to jump on the bandwagon. The way he handled Chaves and Soto-Karass was very impressive but the fact that he didn't react very well to a few of their shots early in the match has made me repeatedly question his chin, but he was able to take over and dominate after being hurt early and not lose his composure and make mistakes which is the sign of a very competent and smart fighter. Julio Diaz rocked him as well but he stopped him, who cares no big deal, but what has really won me over was the performances against Bundu and Guerrero. The Bundu performance was a masterclass in the sweet science that most Mayweather fans should have been proud of, he realized he probably wouldn't be able to stop the durable Bundu so he fought a measured intelligent fight and made the awkward Bundu look like an amateur in a brilliant performance. Then Guerrero who I rate very highly, the way he came out aggressively at the beginning and tried to legitimately hurt and get The Ghost out of there early showed everyone the ferocious Killer Instinct he has and the fact that he was able to understand the amazing opportunity that he had been handed by being the first fighter to headline a card on primetime TV in decades and his attempt to seize the day has now turned me into a full fledged fan of his. Even though he couldn't get Guerrero out of there and had a few shaky moments late in the fight, that's nothing to be ashamed of, Guerrero is tough as nails and a wily veteran and he handled him better than Mayweather did. Let's take a journey back to the Early Days to the Present Of One Time. As long as his chin holds up He Is The Next Big Thing.:toney:toney:toney:toney

This guy is a great interview whenever I've seen him. One of my favourite fighters and always says he's not afraid of taking a loss.

I wonder if DirtyDouche(Dan) will object to the nature of this particular prospect thread?

Kovalev lives in California now. so he can give up another 10% off the top of his purses in State income taxes, pretty shrewd.:patsch

Hopefully for his sake he maintains his Florida domecile to avoid the extra taxes.
