Manny Pacquiao will undergo right shoulder surgery later this week to repair a "significant tear" in his rotator cuff, orthopedic surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache told ESPN.com on Monday.

"We have an MRI scan that confirms he has a rotator cuff tear. He has a significant tear," said ElAttrache, who was still with Pacquiao at his Kerlan Jobe Orthopedics office in Los Angeles when he spoke to ESPN.com on Monday evening.

And boxing deserves a sore loser and now trying to save face with an injury? This is what boxing looks like right now, a JOKE. But of course it's all Floyd right?

    What's your point? :think:rofl

Floyd had a torn rotator cup too, Vitali as well.

Floyd fought through it and won, Vitali quit, Pac lost. :tong

He should've. He's ranked higher than all the fighters you mentioned. But, he really only did a little better than Mosely and Maidana (in the second fight)...and not close to Maidana's success in the first fight.

The arm injury is just a well planned, convenient excuse....like being weakened by the blood test after the Morales loss. He said his arm was injured in the 3rd rd. But, after he hurt Floyd in the 4th, he was throwing 10 punch flurries using both hands, with full power, trying to finish Floyd.

It's just nonsense. Overall, he was not throwing a lot with either hand, because, he was cautious about being countered. Just like nearly every Floyd opponent. Had he WON you would hear nothing about such injuries. Floyd said he had injuries with both arms and his hands going into the fight.

There's nothing idiotic about it, you can call the JLC1 fight a draw or a close win to either. His shoulder factored in, but we've seen Floyd troubled by that style since then. He beat Maidana convincingly in the second compared to the first but Maidana had his moments and Floyd had no injury in 1.

Castillo's resume isn't a patch on Pacquiao's, obviously include the Floyd win/draw/close loss into the discussion and it's a phenomenal win though.

Pacquiao was beaten comprehensively by Floyd, the shoulder was an issue but it wasn't a major reason (he was still sharp, game and able to throw right hooks with gusto. It isn't Martinez level of immobility and nobody noticed a problem). If he was going to approach the fight with that strategy and the cautious approach and Floyd fought a perfect fight playing to his own strengths, he would lose shoulder problems or not. Floyd has terrible hand issues frequently too, this can cause issues

There's no way he had this injury before the fight he was all smiles all damn week and seemed genuinely happy not hurt and in pain. If he tore anything it was probably during the fight when he was leaping in with wild shots and missing.

....the shoulder injury effected his performance though with a more mild injury....yet had no outcome on Pac's performance. See the point?

wow, Floyd couldn't even own or TKO a pac with one arm! imagine a Pac with two arms! :)

    hahaha F l o m o s. Just rubbing it in.

I must say this must suck for Floyd, he finally beat the guy everyone thought could beat him but now it has an asterisx next to the 'W'. He can't escape the Pacquiao shadow..

Let me get this straight. Manny re-injured his shoulder in round 3, right? So why wasn't he throwing in rounds 1 and 2? And why did he throw so many punches in round 4? :huh

Yes Maidana and Castillo troubled Floyd. What's your point. Floyd game them a rematch and rightfully so they earned it. There is no comparison to the Floyd v Pac fight. NONE.

Pac doesn't deserve a rematch nor is the public calling for one not even Pac fans. They just want an allibi for his poor performance. And you know that's the truth.

His excuse was so bad, that he said on Sunday that he hurt his shoulder in round 4 after the first flurry he threw when Floyd was on the ropes.
