    ESPN reports.
Manny will be out for up to a year!

Why does Mayweather not deserve full credit?
    1. Pacquiao's torn rotator cuff injury

    a. It it severe enough that it requires surgery, and around a year of ring inactivity to heal it.
    b. Manny's training camp was affected by this issue so he was not fully prepared.
    c. This obviously had an effect on him mentally going into the fight, especially given that he was not allowed to take the painkiller.
    d. Manny was thus affected from round 1, and increasingly so as the rounds went on.
    e. Mayweather had a torn rotator cuff injury, and rather than giving Castillo credit, he blamed his torn rotator cuff - an excuse. It effected him so much that he went from losing the fight (according to most knowledgeable boxing fans), to winning in the rematch!

    2. Manny Pacquiao is PAST PRIME athletically and psychologically.
Before Manny would have walked through shots like he did against Cotto, Morales etc. but he was too gun shy because of the psychological effects of the KO loss to Marquez.
Manny has physically been on a notable decline since 2011.

No wonder why he didn't throw as many punches as he wanted to!
Mayweather cannot be called one of the GOATs for his victory over a past prime, injured and surgery requiring Manny Pacquiao.

If he'd said the shoulder affected me BUT Floyd did this and that and my strategy was farcical... he'd have a lot more respect. It's not 75% shoulder, 25% he ran and didn't let me punch him in the face.

I wish I had known about the excuses he made after Morales, it might have made this entire farce less insulting and annoying.

I'll accept that Pacquiao was legitmately injured

Not sure but I'll give the benefit of the doubt

But that doesn't take credit away from Mayweather

Pacquiao chose to fight with an injury

Mayweather loses credit for running around against a guy who clearly couldn't do much to him

but he came under fire for not performing that well, and instead of saying that Marquez is good, he has to have a reason why he didn't destroy the guy, becuse his fans are crazy people

Except for the fact that now there is an MRI and a surgery to back it up.

Show me the MRI instead of saying it exists. I've yet to see it.

Castillo troubled Floyd for many reasons, the shoulder obviously played a part but Maidana troubled Floyd and he was fine physically.

Mayweather comprehensively beat Pacman for many reasons, the shoulder was just one of them, with that gameplan he gets dismantled and peppered with right hands all night. He can beat Floyd playing to his strengths and if Floyd doesn't fight a perfect fight ie gets rattled and shaken up. He did it once but couldn't capitalize, his shoulder was perfectly fine in the round I saw, it was the typical Pacquiao fury.

Mayweather fans don't cling to excuses after he loses.
