I hear what your saying but the pay off GGG doesnt need to happen

Cotto can drop belt and still fight Mayweather for MW title of the world, dont need alphabet to be champ.

They said there might be an agreement but im not sure it actually happened

Floyd? well, obviously a fully healthy Pac cause i still feel Pac would throw around 800 punches (hit or miss) and it would be exciting.

but, if Pac will be out for 9-12 months out of the question

If i had to pick, i would say Thurman or Khan. Why? cause Thurman has speed, power and size. He isn't very experienced but a young, talented lion. khan has reach and speed and he, like Floyd, knows how to win rounds. The problem with Khan is he has a glass chin so Floyd can KO him BUT Khan is fast and has an effective jab.

Having said this, Floyd would probably make fights boring, as he usually does.

I just don't see Cotto as competitive nor do i see floyd going north of 155 to fight him. I also want Cotto v GGG.

interesting. More reason to believe this won't happen, ontop of the fact that it wasn't that close first time around.

Floyd may take his dad's advice and retire. He can't fight Pac again due to Pac's injury; Cotto seems out of the question and Khan and thurman are young hungry lions. I see this as very risky because even though i can see Floyd schooling these youngsters, he would also be fighting mother nature. At 38, youth can prevail and it would be a disaster if Floyd lost to Khan or thurman, a disaster. These two aren't even that accomplished.

    I'm thinking retirement.

WTF man!!!! This is total BS! Am I the only one that see's Geale putting a clinic on Cotto, thus making this whole topic irrelevant?

Cotto didn't do better than Manny, he almost got knocked out and got hit with like 50 more power shots! Pacquiao didn't do as much damage on Floyd, but at least he didn't look like Provodnikov after the fight like Cotto did. And ultimately Geale looks huge next to Cotto (remember Martinez was never a big MW). And his style is the similar enough to Trouts, who Cotto never figured out.

Cotto did better than Pacquiao against Mayweather and Geale and Trout are nothing alike...

think about how disastrous it would be for floyd to lose to Khan, a relatively unaccomplished fighter, in his last professional fight? how bad would this be?

If he could get a PAC re-match, i think he would much rather do that. If he loses to PAC, he can claim he also beat him and Pac is an ATG. Still bad but losing to Khan would just be a catastrophe, too risky IMO. Khan is young and Floyd would be weary to fight not only a speedy fighter with reach but also he would be going against youth, it can make a difference. The risk/reward just isn' there. If he beats Khan, so what? who would give a s h i t? 0 reward, HUGE RISK.

I'll not really interested in May-Cotto 2 unless it's for the MW title.
