Thinking about it, this is probably the most appropriate way for their rivalry to end

There's no way it was going to end Saturday just like that, it was a little too "normal"

Both of these guys have went back and forth for the last 5-6 years, creating tons of chaos, tons of stupid drama, leaving the fans in utter anticipation.

The fight was underwhelming, and Floyd was left the victor winning on 3 of the judge's scorecards. 118-110, 116-112, 116-112. It was a very very decisive win by Floyd. One that can't be questioned. It was no Hagler/Leonard. 30 years later, people won't be disputing who won this fight.

These two will never meet in the ring again. Floyd will be retiring in September 100% he vowed and Manny will be on the sidelines for 9-12 months recovering from a torn rotator cuff, Pac may never be the same after he returns and Floyd will be out of boxing by that time.

As for the fight, I and 90% of the boxing world saw what we needed to see, a comprehensive thorough boxing lesson from Floyd. Something that most people expected to see from the beginning anyways.

Now we're given news that Pac/His team blatantly lied to NSAC and as a result produced an underwhelming fight because he was not 100%. :patsch. Scamming the media, the fans, everyone.

The fans will be left wondering - "What would have happened if Pacquiao's shoulder was 100%?" and make tons and tons of excuses about how Pac wasn't 100%, Floyd didn't beat a prime Pac etc etc.

But from what we saw and in my opinion it wouldn't have mattered, 100% or not. Mayweather's skills are far too advanced. Really wouldn't have mattered.

Floyd will down as this era's finest pugilist and Manny will be trailing from behind as #2.

That's just how history will remember this fight and their rivalry. One that took 6 years to end, and one that will never be forgotten.

The rivalry ended as it started with a bunch of excuses from the Pacquiao side. They had an alibi for Pac's pathetic peformance and to them that's a moral victory. Floyd took pac to school, hurt his feelings and left him to ride on the short yellow bus home with his glass shoulder.

Thing is, it will be forgotten. It was 100% forgettable. Maybe not for boxing fans, but for anyone else it will be forgotten by August. That is how underwhelming it was. It was such a disservice to hype us up like that and then.. ugh, it makes me so mad because I wasted so much of my life being excited about it. It was a good fight, boxing wise, but I feel it could've been so much better. More fireworks. It wasn't the Fight of the Century, and it won't even win Fight of the Year.

The entire rivalry I mean, not just the fight.

The fight maybe, but the rivalry, no chance.

Why, IYO, was Floyd so apprehensive to engage Pac? This is the same man who was walking down the likes of Mosely and Alvarez who are far bigger and supposedly harder hitters. Pac, with a torn shoulder, had Floyd hesitant to walk him down, causing Floyd to throw less and miss more, and able to hurt Floyd at least twice. Of course people are going to wonder what would happen if Pac was 100%. This was the same injury that had Vitali quitting on his stool in a fight he was easily winning. Apparently it's a big deal.

I like to rip your arm out of its socket and see how well you'd box you jackass. It is what it is, Manny lied and ripped off the fans but your boy didn't beat a prime or healthy Pacquiao and with one arm did better than his last 7 or 8 opponents except for Maidana with ONE good arm. You can't gloat anymore and if you do you're in denial of the facts.

no it's a joke. it's stupid. it's a let down. at the end you look up and say, "That was it...?"

Not the fight, this rivalry. If you could make their rivalry into a movie, the movie would suck and people would be p**** at the ending.

Sad. This fight will never have a movie made after it. ever. kind of disappointing it could have easily been one of those historic moments when people make movies of the fights. you'll never see that. As there was "Ali" there will never be "Mayweather". No movies showcasing this fight. Nothing.

gah dang im so p**** at them.

Not sure why you're saying "them"

Pac and his team were the ones who scammed the fans.

Mayweather fought how he was supposed to and Pac didn't do anything in the fight and got thoroughly outclassed.

If you're going to blame someone, blame Pac.

He was the reason why this fight became like this.
