Manny Pacquiao might never fight again

Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Neil ElAttache will perform the surgery in Los Angeles.
"Once you know he has a tear that's not going to heal on its own, then the decision for an active person is you want to try to fix this before it gets bigger," ElAttrache said. "If all goes as expected with the surgery and the rehab is successful, Manny could be back training in about six months. At that point, he will be regaining strength and endurance, and competition is reasonable within nine months to a year. But this is a severe enough tear that it won't heal without being repaired."

I see why maybe he never pulled out because he would of needed surgery regardless and this fight couldn't of waited anther year if he was at least allowed to take the shot then that would of been something

When boxers get older, they sometimes try to get in there and don't know the new limits of their body. Remember Sweet Pea's last fight where he broke his clavicle and the fight had to be stopped. That was really nasty!! It's such a slippery slope.

if he had a tear how was he able to throw right hands alll fight

i've torn my rotaro cuff. it's extremely painful and you can barely move the arm without severe pain. you would not be able to punch with a torn rotator cuff.

im about to make a video on every single right hand pacquiao threw in the fight. zero pain in the shoulder. he's full of ****,

their is no ifs any more the guy will be going under the knife and be out for 1 year unless he likes going into surgery for fun that's a different case

throwing with pain and not full force is not the same with throwing with no pain and full force

He was in pain every time he threw it

maybe it wasnt as bad, he rested it.

    reinjured in the fight.

maybe that's the one that\s looked bad, after the fight..

rd4 when he backed off with floyd not in the position to counter, that was puzzling.

    after that, very short flurries.

and floyd kept escaping to his right and pac coulndt stop it with his right.

That's the far most logical scenario that makes any sense.

    arey ou stupid/

you cannot "Rest" a torn totator cuff

you are physically disable if you tear your totaor cuff

i had one. i could barely put my hand on the stearing whell of my car driving to the DR. you have limited range of moition.

pacquiao was throwing right hands all fight. with a torn rotaor cuff that is physically impossible.

That's a very simplified way of looking at it. It's possible for you to tear you rotater cuff slightly and not even know it. Aside from surgury / creams / treatment "rest" is a a way to heal the tear. certainly rest and creams / treatmant is better for that type of an injury like that than continuing to throw right hands in sparring.

right and where your theory hold sno weight is because emmanul says he reinjured in the 3rd or 4th round....and he was throwing right hands all throughout the fight. zero wincing or zero pain. how did he reinur the torn rotaor cuff then still throw right hands for 8 more rounds? let me guess he's a tough SOB then? LOL.

after the fight he threw his hands in the hair and had a big smile on his face!

let me guess the rest in between round healed it up for him to throw punches?

There must be varying levels of a tear.

Andre Ward had a torn rotator cuff essentially his entire career up until he got surgery before the Rodriguez fight

that;s not my call, that's the doctor's. id go with what was reported.

the rest was just prolly to ease the pain and also to not aggreviate the injury further.

i thought in the mri submitted to usada, he had a tear. pac thought he could fight. the doctors agreed but he needed a cortissone shot to numb the pain.

you dont know if the injury was the same vs. the one that was aggreviated after the fight.

Haha well people react to pain differently. It's possible that it wasn't even pain so much as it was just something that was torn and if he threw it too hard or at the wrong angle it would have made the tear much worse.

Note : I am just as clueless as you are about what happened haha. But if it was something bothering him or something he was worried about it explains why he possibly didn't go fully ba lls to the wall.

buddy, go to google. adre tore in a sparring session and had surgery two weeks later.
