Why Are We Entertaining A Rematch? No More Rematch Talk!

Someone please explain why should even ENTERTAIN a rematch

- both guys were paid handsomely
- the fight was pitiful
- floyd was clearly a level above pacquiao
- nothing about the fight was debatable

Let's lets leave alone the talk of a rematch

that's another thing i didn't even think about. Floyd will be like 40/41 by the time they could even do a rematch. Forget that sh!t, for the love of god I don't want to see these two guys in the same room together let alone in a ring together. The whole thing was a goddamn circus

 

We're entertaining a rematch because frankly there isn't no one left for Floyd Mayweather on the grand stage. Pacquiao is still the biggest fight for Floyd. Khan would be the second biggest choice and I don't really want to see that fight, but it's going to happen. Personally Floyd has beaten everyone. He should retire now.

 

why do we spend time posting garbage like this?

1. yes they were paid handsomely, so?
2. It wasn't terribly exciting but wasn't this just a typical Mayweather fight? His fight vs Canelo was a snoozefest, even his fight vs DLH was a snoozefest.
3. Only if you hate Pacquiao or love Floyd. It was a 116-112 fight and Pac had a serious injury. Without the injury, it could've been much better.
4. Idiotic statement. Pac fought with 1 good arm, a lot is debatable

 

Why did we entertain a match that everyone knew was 5 years too late anyway ?

Because the match was happening, whether we wanted it or not. In the end, most of us went along with it to some extent. It became huge and a lot of people kidded themselves that it was the same fight that was expected in '09 and '10.

Most people who bought it never heard of a boxing forum, so what does it matter what we say.

I wont be watching the rematch, but it WILL happen.
Thing is, I wont be watching Mayweather anyway, too boring, that's just my personal choice. Here in the UK we have to stay up all night to watch it, at my age I'd rather sleep than snooze along with Floyd !

Millions of people will buy it.
It's all about money. You cannot stop the inevitable.
