At this stage, especially after the insane publicity the Pacquiao fight brought, with the right hype he and Khan could easily break 1 million buys. I know it's a joke fight and can explain why in full depth. Unfortunately, casuals don't know about this nor do they care. If it looks attractive on paper, they're sold.

 

Somewhere in a place similar to Little Rock Arkansas a little old lady is keeping a young guy prisoner in her cellar, forcing him to spar 8 hours a day against her grandsons, and his friends, so that very soon she will unleash him onto the world stage, and HE will be the one to finally destroy Floyd Mayweather Jr.

This will be done of course just to ease the pain of all the FMJ hater's and Pacturds in the world, who are desperate to see him beaten.

 

Alvarez can't make 154 anymore and Mayweather isn't moving up to Middleweight(yes, 155 IS Middleweight). Lara is too much risk for zero reward, and his loss to Alvarez(who Mayweather beat) doesn't help him either. Matthysse, Crawford and Garcia are all Light Welterweights who have zero significant victories at 147. The only two good fights on that list is Pacquiao rematch and Thurman.

Floyd COULD almost certainly ko/tko Khan if he chose to.

But as you rightly say, Mayweather usually focuses on outpointing opponents and he would easily outpoint Khan (despite what some on here seem to believe).

That said, Weetabix-chin Khan (that just sounds too funny to not use myself) is the perfect opponent for Floyd to decide to go for the stoppage. Khan's punch resistance and "Powers of recovery" are pathetic (he looks like Bambi on stilts at times).

My guess is that Floyd would fight his usual cautious fight, but once he rocked Khan with a good right hand lead or counter (and he will) he may decide to put him away.

 

Can't believe Khan is saying no because of ramadam. Biggest fight of his whole career and he's not taking it because of his religion. Haven't none of these guys learned from Pacquiao that the more faith you show your god, the more God destroys your chances. Pacquiao said God will deliver Floyd to his hands and god instead gave Floyd, Pacquiao's Whole arm.

 

Khan is an idiot, first he has an upcoming fight and all he can talk about is Mayweather. Last time he did that he got TKOed by Garcia, lucky for him he is fighting a light puncher.

Khan is not religious as he does so many things that are against the teachings. Well thats ok, since its his personal choice. But then, whats funny is that he picks and chooses what parts of the religion to follow and follows it so rigidly.

If you can't fast during Ramadan due to work or other valid reasons you can always make up for it later on in the year, its really that easy.

Since you have stated that you are referring to Khan at 147 (conveniently choosing to ignore Khan's failings and frailties at 140) i'm curious as to what evidence there is to substantiate your claims? Because Team Khan clearly do not share your confidence or Amir would have fought Brook instead of Algieri!!

I do wish Team Khan would actually listen to "These boxing fans who evidently understand the sport" that you refer to... As we might finally see Amir in with a genuine welterweight contender!!

Team Khan have, thus far, deliberately circumvented all of the top welterweights! Why do you suppose that is? If Khan is as good as you consider him to be, please do explain that strategy.

Brook, Bradley, JMM, Pacquiao, Porter and Thurman ALL pose a serious threat to Khan's megabucks payday fight with Floyd, which is why Amir has avoided them.

When one can comfortably name half a dozen fighters from a fighters weight class (WW) that could beat said fighter (Khan) then said fighter cannot reasonably be expected to beat the undisputed best in the weight class (Floyd). Why is that so difficult to accept?

Roger himself recently stated that Floyd could still hang with Amir as if to imply that Khan would be a very tough fight. Roger held the pads for Amir and he knows what he brings. Remember that was years ago too and Roger recently picked Amir to Whoop Alex saying he would beat him with the stick and range control all night.

Mayweather will knock Khan out as fast or faster than he did Ortiz.

Khan has the most delusional fan base in the sport they think Khan has 'improved' yet he hasn't been put in there with one puncher yet under Hunter which is his Achilles heel. Khan has no Chin, no Ring IQ, and no heart.
