Personally I was surprised Floyd rated Pacquiao's performance so highly. I thought Pacquiao was awful in that fight. There were times he could throw punches and he just didn't. I picked Floyd to win against Pacquiao, I thought the angles and counter punching style would cause Pacquiao too many problems, but now after hearing what Floyd said about Pacquiao, i'm wondering if Pacquiao would cause Floyd a lot of problems in a rematch if it wasn't for the surgery. I hate what if's, but that injury couldn't come at a worse time for Pacquiao.

How did you rate Pacquiao's performance?

How did you rate Floyd's performance?

Personally, I thought father time was knocking on the door as Floyd's performance wasn't that great either. I think Floyd knows he's got to retire very soon by the lure of money is too great.

Mayweather always gives credit to his opponents after the fight. It would diminish his win to say the guy was a bum. Mayweather > any version of Pacquiao.

I tells me he expected about as much out of him as I did. He didn't look quite as lost and confused quite as often as I thought he would

It tells me that Mayweather is already promoting a rematch. Pac looked like **** in that fight and it wasn't because he had a "bad" shoulder.

Manny had a bad shoulder, Mayweather had 2 bad hands AND 2 bad shoulders and Mayweather competely shut him down.

Imagine if Mayweather comes into the rematch without any injuries...goddamn!

    ^This

The guy is not gonna start diminishing his wins. Especially against someone who was voted FOTD. He's got his haters to do that for him.

pacquiao fought a more cautious, smarter fight.

he tried to counterpunch then steal rounds by flurrying.

the problem was those flurries weren't landing or he couldn't corner floyd.

the pacquiao of old would have been more rekless and KO'd.

there were a couple right hands that pacquiao dodged when he came inside that would have done some serious damage had pacquiao not been defensively aware.

  12. Floyd is always respectful to his opponents. Wish Manny could have done the same.

    Exactly!

Mayweather crediting Pacquiao serves his own purpose to sell a rematch.
I did'nt buy the ppv this time because I viewed it as a complete mismatch.
Just saw the fight last night and Pacquiao's showing validated the reason I passed on not buying it.

Shoulder injury or not, Pacquiao's shots were not deterring Mayweather.
I gave Pacquiao only the 4th and 6th and I saw nothing even in those rounds that would suggest Pacquiao would have any possibilities what so ever in a rematch.
The skill level gap is just to wide and then you add to it the fact that Mayweather is naturally just the bigger fighter and my conclusion is that Pacquiao does'nt even have a punchers chance against Mayweather.

I have'nt heard that many people say it around this forum, but that was a complete schooling I saw Mayweather propinate on Manny Pacquiao!

The way I saw it, was the first 3 rounds every time I expected Manny to start an attack - BANG - Floyd got off first and made sure Pac couldn't and had to set himself again. Even if it wasn't a big shot, it was enough to disrupt Manny. This to me, is why we saw what appeared to be a more cautious Pacquiao.

    Just how I saw it.
