Other than the Floyd fans... everyone else thought that both fighters looked pathetic. It was a boring fight. Both guys fought cautious as if they didn't want to lose as opposed to trying to win. All this "outclassed" "schooled" "master performance" stuff is whack. I didn't see a great performance. In fact, I didn't see much boxing at all.

Pacman didn't throw any punches and had no answer for Floyds reach or movement

Floyd threw a few love taps and stayed away. Playing defense for 12 rounds doing just enough to bore us to death.

The only success Pacquiao had was when Floyd shelled up on the ropes. Pacquiao can't fight a moving target, he's like Danny Garcia!

People need to stop kidding themselves on. Both fighters fought well. Pacman came in with a gameplan that suited him at the present time. Hes 36 everybody i know that watches boxing knows that his style isnt particularly suited to longetivity. Its surprising that his stamina was still as good as it was. He was never gonna be able to keep the pace of his younger self up.

Plus everybody knows that if your just gonna launch forward throwing as many punches as you can is likely to get hurt against a counter puncher especially one as good as mayweather. Although some are blaming the roach gameplan it worked to an extent. Floyd was struggling to hit him as much as anyone theres been. If pacman had his stamina of old it would have been a much closer fight. One he probably would have one. But again floyds so good no one can say that with any kind of certainty. The fight was actually more competetive than people are giving pacman credit forward he came forward most of the nite. Floyd won the fight clearly but he struggled a bit with pacman at times. Should have fought five years ago. But i think the only thing that really sets them apart is mayweathers just the bigger man that uses his assets to his advantage. People need to stop going on about how poor pacman was and realise why he done the things he did. Instead of viewing it as a why didnt he do that. Most people really know why he never. We ve watched boxing long enough.

He's just being as respectful as possible and has been about this whole fight.

    Pacquiao was Guerrero-level.

Floyd was awesome. Dude could fight for a couple of more years. Pac was just beaten by a better fighter

I thought Floyd fought a hell of a fight, I do think he could have been a bit more offensive and really could have busted Pac up but oh well that's Mayweather

Was disappointed in Pacs performance overall.... when you are all smiles throughout the fight people are paying big money to see, youre taking selfies on the way to the ring and then you put in a performance like that, especially in the championship rounds.... just leaves a bad taste to me. So I don't rate his performance very highly.

I am not surprised, because Floyd very seldom has anything negative to say about an opponent after they fight, whereas Pacquiao is notorious for making excuses and not giving credit when things don't go his way(only exception being when he got knocked out cold), and even when they do. Floyd regularly gives praise to opponents and seems to respect the warrior in the ring across from him profoundly, even when he makes easy work of them such as in this fight.

In a recent interview with Floyd, he explained why he thinks Pacquiao is a good fighter(while also expressing that Pacquiao can't beat him). It's not because Pacquiao performed well, but because he understands what Pacquiao is trying to do in the ring, the traps he is trying to set, and he can see why he beat so many other opponents. This in and of itself is very unfavorable news for Pacquiao as far as a rematch. While I imagine Pacquiao will do his best to be more aggressive, once Floyd has the measure of you, you're in trouble. Floyd didn't really go in on Pacquiao until the 11th round, likely out of respect for his speed and power early, but that round seems like foreshadowing to me of what is to come should they fight again.

The guys ageing like the rest of us. Pacmans style of fighting doesnt tend to age well. People that were expecting pacman of the cotto fight were kidding themselves on. Thats been years ago now. Hes took damage throughout his career went up and faced bigger stronger guys with an aggresive style fought a lot more fights shorter man, shorter reach and naturally smaller man. Thats not excuses but facts. Mayweathers style is built for longetetivity. He can do that for years to come. This was never gonna be the superfight people expected. Floyd should have took it years ago. Hes a great fighter but totally everything thats wrong with the sport.

or much more plausible, Floyd, I am starting to fade fast. reflexes are are pretty much gone, takes twice as long for him to pull off the same shots that were lightening even 4,5 years ago.

I believe he is trying to build interest in a rematch and I do believe he thinks pac showed more toughness than Floyd thought he was capable of. I think the only fight since he came back that was as easily won in the ring was vs jmm.

i'll lose some respect for Floyd if he does rematch pac. that is seriously what would be cherry picking NO risk and pretty good reward in payday

    The opposite of this.

"Reflexes are the first thing to go."

"Power is the last thing to go."
